Hey guys I just finished building my first PC and it runs great! Iam officialy a Manticore and I love it. One thing is I have the 8800 GT and the thing gets HOT, my rig frose up on me last night from running Crysis and now I'm afraid to turn it back on. Do any of you have some simple solutions to heat problems other then just "buy a new fan" I'm just dumb broke right now and don't have the money.

If you're using NTune, uninstall it, and install Riva Tuner instead. From there, adjust your fan settings, and try to keep the temperature of the GPU below 80c if at all possible. Try some dynamic-based fan settings, or you could just go for a single-speed if you don't mind noise.

I use Ntune and have the fan running at 60% always. Idle is 41c, and load is around 50c. Very good temps.

how hot? because graphic card are supposed to be ok up to 120oC, lets say 100 lol. My 8800gts 512 jump from 55 idle to 83 with Crysis on it and it's normal
