Overkill making a co-op The Walking Dead game.

"Overkill is developing a new The Walking Dead game, and it will feature a cooperative experience similar to the developer's previous work on the PayDay series, publisher Starbreeze announced today.

The title is still a long way off, slated for an unannounced 2016 release date, but The Walking Dead creator and Skybound Entertainment CEO Robert Kirkman has high hopes for the project.

"I’m a huge fan of what Overkill and Starbreeze have been able to do with PayDay 2," Kirkman said on the game's Steam Community page. "It’s just an amazing co-operative game and I’m excited to be able to announce that Skybound is partnering with Overkill to make a Walking Dead game. I’m happy to say that it’s the co-op game that all of the Walking Dead fans have been waiting for."

Maybe we'll actually get a decent The Walking Dead FPS now.

Left 4 Dead is 5 years old. And there have been multiple co-op zombie games after it anyway so what's your point?

It's worth noting as well, the Payday games have one of the worst communities in any FPS on the pc. If these people migrate over, an incredibly negative experience.

Indeed, it was so bad the developers had to add a "non kick" filter to server search due to the amount of abuse.
