After having recently given myself a few dozen headaches trying to decide what to get, i settled on the VT20 or the VT25. From what i gather, they are identical as far as specifications and normal functionality. Best i have been able to come up with is $1600 ( without any bundled crap ).

The only remaining problem i have is when comparing it to the G series which i have been able to find sporadically for around $1200. I know they use a different panel and that's pretty much it. Someone was talking about the VT being worth the extra money because of some super awesome phosphorus thing and i thought my head was going to explode trying to understand wth he was talking about.

I know deep down i actually want the VT so any help justifying the price would be awesome.

Well the Panasonic VT20/VT25 has the 2nd best picture quality of all plasma TVs and it has the best 3D. So is that enough to justify the purchase? :P

Dont get a 2009-2010 Panasonic. They have a problem with their black levels rising to awful lcd levels. I would know, it happened to my 2009 G10. Wait till next year if you want a Panasonic, they may fix it. Unless you REALLY care about your picture, though, you should just get the VT25. However, next years panasonics will be very Kuro-like, be very thin (like 1.5 inches), and better AR filter. I am buying a new Panasonic next year, I would advise you to do so too.
