Yeah well I updated my computer info, so I need advice again... Thanks!

Can we see what motherboard you picked? There might be some incompatibility issues between it and the CPU/memory. Also, OCZ DDR3 memory has apparently had quality control issues, so I would suggest looking elsewhere for memory. Lastly, Hitachi Deskstar is not the best hard drive that money can buy. As you asked before, Western Digital is more reliable and faster, and it has a good 5-year warranty on its drives. Another brand that you should look at would be the Samsung F3 series, as they are known to be the fastest drives for their product tier.
Yeah sure, it's here.

Yeah, that motherboard doesn't support DDR3 memory. You will have to look into DDR2 memory if you wish to keep that motherboard.
Windows 7 Home Premium is more than enough for most people and can probably save you a chunk of change. The rule of thumb is if you don't know what features Ultimate has over Home Premium, you don't need it.General_X
Apparently, he bought it off of someone who got it at the student discount, so disregard that part.

Alright then, MS does have some amazing student discounts on Win7. Other than that I haven't heard too many good things about Hitachi hard drives, might want to consider looking at a Western Digital, Seagate, or Samsung alternative. Please Log In to post.
