Hey guys. Well i feel its time for me to get some new speakers, and a better audio system in general than my ancient 2.1 system.

Although i would like to stick to 2.1, can anyone recommend some good quality speakers for about £50 ($100)

I was thinking of the Creative T40's. But they are 2.0, and i fancy having a sub.

Also, to accommodate these, I would like some nice headphones, which also have a mic built in, does anyone have any recommendations for these ?

well if you have £50 to spend entirely on a new speaker system, then i would go for the logitech z-4 2.1 system. logitech makes awesome sound hardware (i have the z-5500 myself). the z-4 runs for £50.56 according to their website but you might find it cheaper on amazon or ebay.

as for headsets, i would go for these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249016 (assuming you have a separate budget for them). they rock. very comfortable and the mic is removable.

sorry for the late response...i've been away. newegg accepts paypal, so if you have a paypal account then paypal will automatically convert your balance from £ to $ so that you can buy stuff from the US. If you don't have a paypal account then search for these items on Amazon because i think amazon has a British website.

I just ordered myself the z-2300 2.1 audio system, it is thx certified and it has 200 watts of rms. I believe its a bargain for $109.
