Hail, I'm getting pretty bored of my current games so I wanna go ahead and make my own.  I've dabbled in the FPS Creator but found it to be too buggy for my tastes.  Warcraft 3 World Editor was a marvelous tool that allowed me to mold my imagination into a game for all to enjoy.  But its time has passed and I want to move onto bigger and better projects.  However I do not have the time to learn coding so I simply must stick with a drag and drop interface.  Anyone have any suggestions on versatile video game creators?

Hm, sounds like you really haven't got the patience to stick with something you can't seem to get the hang of almost immediately.

I think there are some tutorials out there on game editors, stick with those first. But if you want to move onto something which requires a bit of zeal, try Source SDK (source developer kit).

Creation of video games is a 4 year degree, extensive in math, physics and computer programming through multiple languages. Start small. Make a mod using the Source hammer. I've used it and you can literally make your own video game in the source engine without knowledge in programming, although it would certainly help distinguish your game a bit. Patience is what seperates gamers from game developers. Just remember, if it were easy, everybody would do it.

I dont believe that a level editor has been announced but that doesnt really stop you from modding really just makes it harder

Dont get me wrong I have patience, I just dont have actual time to sit around and learn programming.  Between work, my girlfriend, and my 2 best friends on opposite sides of the state I really only have like 3 hours a day I spend gaming.  That why I'm looking for something with more of a drag and drop interface so I can quickly jump in and start mapping.  Id love to learn how to make HL2 maps but Source SDK looks pretty complex from a glance.  Is there a great tutorial out there or do you think the learning curve is pretty steep for Souce SDK?

OH MY FREAKIN GOD!!!

The Crysis editor looks like something that would come out of my dreams!  I am saving all my creativity for its release.  Seriously.  I cannot believe how amazing this editor looks.

Ya, its problably as complex as you can go while still keeping it "casual" enough for you.  Just make boxes, put them together, add a few doors, spawn points, some light sources and voila!  you got your own map.  String them together and you got a decent singleplayer mission to your liking.

Even better, there are modeling tools that are pretty easy to use.  Idunno if it still works but there is one called Milkshape or Milkshake that was pretty interesting.  You could make weapons, models, etc.  If that doesnt work, you could always go buy a multi-thousand dollar copy of 3D StudioMax (or get the student version for free/reduced price).
