Then i guess you have to get your own apartment, or maybe the people you share with could....dissappear? *cough*
[QUOTE="thusaha"]The end of retail version is near.Jd1680aPC games at brick and mortar stores are coming to an end. The retail box will be still avaliable on the internet. It had better be, because I won't drop $40 or more without physical proof I own the game.
The end of retail version is near.thusahaRPS doesn't represent the PC gaming world, not even a fraction of it, of course, people that go on RPS would vote DD, but in reality, even tho DD is becoming more and more used, retails have a higher lead. And retails will "never" disappear, maybe from stores but not online (the main reason we don't see many retail PC games in stores in many countries - in Europe at least)
Seems to be up from about 26% in 2007, but that was a PCGA survey.aliblabla2007Yeah, that was JUST a survey of rockpapershotgun voters. Kind of unrepresentative of the full market out of there, sort of if Valve did a Steam survey about 'who buys digital' and then announced that 100% of people buy DD. :D
The end of retail version is near.thusahanah! it won't happen. Not every country get cheap mega/gigabit internet speed. US isn't world. but it is sure, DD has come a long way and it'll grow more.
The end of retail version is near.thusahai sure hope not :( i like having pyshical copies for collection purposes and installing and reinstalling is alot faster for me. but as long as there is online retail like amazon i should be ok :D besides games are much cheaper online then at the stores or DD like steam.

Quite true. This is mentioned in the article at least.
I hate digital distribution. Can't sell the game after you're done. I'm trying to get rid of my Steam account on Craigslist, since I have no way of selling the games on my account any other way.Dogar230I agree...I buy all my games either at the shop, or through ebay. Then I sell them on ebay. I hate waiting for the game to download....and I like how the box looks on my shelf. POWER to THE RETAIL BOXES !!!

I use amazon though, as it's more reliable and the bidding component annoys me.
