Hi and hello, i have been having some trouble as of late with my computer. My Samsung syncmasterP2370 seems to be going into standby mode everytime i turn on my PC. now I have tested my monitor with another PC and my xbox 360 and it works, no problems. However when i connect it to my PC it turns on, switches from analog to digital as if its trying to find a video output. Its keeps doing the same thing. I have tried uninstalling drivers, reinstalling, using driver sweeper, updating evreything on my computer. I even upgraded my PC's hard drive and reinstalled windows and all the components. I still get the same result. However for some reason My HDtv will work on my PC, however it overscans the image and looks unclear when displayed in 1920x1080. I can ge it to look better when i put it in 1440x900. Judging from my Samsung monitor only not wotking and my HDtv partially working is it safe to say there is something wrong with my Graphics card.

I have checked everthing, i have bought new cables and still nothing, i checked my system ram everything. Does anyone hav any experience in this or have any advice, or can anyone help me as to pinpoint the problem.

Is it plugged in all the way? Try resetting the monitor. Also try auto adjust it by using the side buttons.

yes everything is plugged in, i even tried autoselect. When i turn the monitor on it switches from analog to digital and then goes into standby. something is not making the connection, and or something is wrong, My Monitor works on my Xbox 360 and my uncles computer just fine, no problems.

Are you using an ATI graphics card? If so try updating the drivers here - http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Some older drivers had a problem detecting some monitors EDID/Native Resolution.

Do you have another monitor or source you can try with your PC/graphics card? Obviously you eliminated it might not be the Samsung monitor itself so chances are if you can hook a different monitor / tv / source you'll isolate the problem.

Right now I have an HDtv hooked up to my computer, however my TV can only display in 1440x900 any higher and the pictureis overscanned and doesn't look as clear.

The only thing I could suggest is send samsung an email and ask them for some help. I've never experienced any problems with my monitors. Sorry for the lack of help.

Honsetly sounds like a monitor problem, contact Samsung support and see what they have to say.

I thought it was a monitor problem as well however my monitor works on my uncles computer just fine, same thing with my Xbox 360. Strange thin is though my HDtv works on my PC but it wont display in its native resolution, I can only display it in 1440x900, any higher and it overscans the image.
