It isn't what I wanted, but it did clear up a few plot holes and provide a little bit more of an explanation.
I guess I would rate it a 7.0
What say you?

Pointless and unnecessary.
BioWare buckled to an unappreciative community who wrongly believe they have the right to dictate artistic licenses. They not only drew a mostache on the Mona Lisa but also undermined the entire struggle for games as an art form.
5, for the memorial stone moment, if it has to be overall then 0, it wasn't needed at all, the endings were perfect as they were before, it didn't need to explain something like you're some kind of person with mental issues, obvious things that everyone would have already deduced if they weren't too busy to pick their nose and invent random mindblowing theories. The EC decreased the already too low value of ME 3, the former endings were, with the soundtrack, the only reasons to get the game.DanielDust
Yeah, I haven't seen the memorial part yet, so my rating might change. I haven't actually placed a rating as of yet.
At least there weren't any glitches or bugs from adding it to the game, I'll give them credit for that.
They were ok and solved some problems and eased the pain a little but still pretty poor. Listen to Kev Van Ord and the guys talk about it and you will feel differently about it because a lot of stuff they say is true, if you input a name at the beginning for Shepard and to not have it written on the memorial thing at the end was kinda stupid, even written he's just Commander shepard.
Also the control ending is just The illusive mans ending so you fight him all that time just to do what he wanted all along.
The synthesis ending is Sarens ending, yet you fought with him and killed him. Making that option feel stupid too, even though the starchild kind of hints it's the best ending and also requires the most effort to get so it feels forced upon you.
The Destroy ending is the only one that feels like Shepard and yet it's the only one that has a pretty bleak outcome afterwards. All the other endings have the Reapers helping rebuild everything but the ending Shepard has been striving for the whole series feels like a somewhat failure in the end.
All in all, still a lot of problems on the endings
The EC was a complete and utter waste of time since Bioware were never serious about actually fixing that god awful ending, it is little more than slapping lipstick on a pig. About the only redeeming feature of the EC is the fact it now allows people to access all the endings in Mass Effect 3 without being forced to play multiplayer. So with that in mind I would give it a 3 out of 10 just because it fixed that little problem and that is about it really.
I will tell you once I check it out. From what I hear it sounds good, but not anything revolutionary.
It's OUT ??? Where? Why DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME !!!!!FelipeInsidebasically its 1 new ending for folks who went to the all evil side of things which isnt fun to watch and the other endings got 30 seconds of more footage. its not worth your time bioware goofed again for the 2nd time this year

I felt it was completely and absolutely unnecessary and unwarrented, but I enjoyed it for what it was. If I had to give it a score, I guess I'd give it a 5 just because I felt they could have done a lot more with it if they really took the time to craft something instead of just rush out some extra scenes in already existing cutscenes. They also shouldn't have backpedalled on the Mass Relay destruction.
for those that did play the extended cut, can you tell me if the slides are in 1080p or not? some of them would make great background wallpapers

Yep, but activate it too while you're at it, in Origin, i at ME 3, shop for addons (up on the right) and purchase it, but yes, no point in playing it again, it's just "badly placed" "totally unnecessary" cutscenes.
Does it have gameplay? or just the ending? Yes they did whine and they got this thing, I said it since the day the whining started, if Bioware tries to please them they're idiots and they are now that they created the EC.It did what it was supposed to and made the end what it should have been on day one. Whiners gonna whine.

They didn't give the people what they really wanted...a new ending. We got the same end with an explanation, which is what the game should have been. At least they didn't actually use the indoc. theory....that would have been a serious slap in the face
As i said back then when the first game came out, the story was underdeveloped from the start. I ecpexted a dissapointing ending to pop up in the end. Its sad that dead space 3 will suffer a similar taste, ea has pretty much casualized and ruined every franchise they touched. The EC was a complete and utter waste of time since Bioware were never serious about actually fixing that god awful ending, it is little more than slapping lipstick on a pig. Nope, developers themselves earn those "awards", EA is only "take money, this is the time limit, make a game". am not reffering to awards, i am reffering to ea ruining franchises. They ruined dragon age 2 to appeal to more people, they ruined mass effect 3 too. They rebooted syndicate saying it was the right choice and the game is one of the biggest flops in the history of gaming. They now take all the horror from dead space 3 and to appeal to more people and say that they need 5 million to survive. To which i ask. Does dead space need to be more than 3 games? Milking much? Anyway, ea likes to barge in and tell the developers what to do and when to do it. On top of that they got unreallistic expectasions of their milked franchise. The EC was a complete and utter waste of time since Bioware were never serious about actually fixing that god awful ending, it is little more than slapping lipstick on a pig. Syndicat is the best game of this year so far, by far, it's not a flop and EA wants to make money, obviously, they don't however make their devs create bad games, also EA has nothing to do with Bioware's games, Bioware wanted to make them, DA2, the entire ME trilogy, EA is actually the reason we have ME on PC, EA is to blame for one thing, they thought Bioware was capable enough to make a MMORPG.DanielDustsyndicate was utterly borring, the story was borring, the game was short and simplistic, i watched most of it in youtube and i want my time back. I really liked the idea behind this game, cyberpunk and all that and starbreeze fixed their gun mechanics but it was deathborring super repettive simplistic game with no value in its story whatsoever, there will be so many great things they could do, but they didnt. The game sold about 150.000 copies in the US. Uber floppage. i dare you to find a worse one.
You watched a game on youtube?...welcome back Dakan.DanielDustI did it because i am not gonna buy the game to be dissapointed. but you can always play it for free and experiance the game yourself, but id rather not download it illegaly if you know what i mean. Playthroughs never lie. The game has good shooting mechanics, it takes alot of bullets, the sound is amazing and the game is a borring bloomfest with no story. Meh.
here's what Kevin Van Ord had to say on the indoctrination theory
"I had a lot of discussion with Tom about the indoctrination theory. Why? Because it was so clever and subtle that I knew Bioware couldn't have created it. I think the studio has great writers, but I don't think they're subtle enough to create something as outstanding as the indoctrination. "
Part of me wants that to be the real ending because it's far more cool and mysterious than what we have
Yeah 4th ending, it's as bad as this "clever" theory.here's what Kevin Van Ord had to say on the indoctrination theory

Not true, The EC content adds many new cutscenes before the ending (including one cutscene that was changed entirely) and extra dialogue choices during your interaction with the star child.
Also I give the new endings an 8/10. I thought the original endings were fine, but they were riddled with plot holes that really made the endings laughable.
They were decent in their own right, but Bioware/EA still stomped all over the fans. You can call it whining, you can call it entitlement, but it wasn't what the majority of ME fans wanted. There is no artist integrity is there's no integrity to begin with in their design.
3/10

Like I said before, I'm willing to give them a bit more credit for the seamless integration with the main game (unlike Bethesda).
I thought the original endings were abysmal for a number of reasons. I think the EC improves things a fair bit. I wouldn't call the new EC endings good, but in my book it's gone from really bad to mediocre. 7/10 up from a 5/10Mazoch
I agree.
By the way,
Did you try shooting the star child with the EC installed? BioWare changed it so it reacts to Shepard shooting.
