Pc gamers: unite!! dont buy Cod4?

CoD3 was made by Treyarch, not IW (the original developer and the maker of CoD, CoD2, and CoD4). That's why there was no PC version. Same publisher (activision), same franchise, different developer. Treyarch was also behind CoD2:BR1. Trust me though when I say you didn't miss out by skipping CoD3, in fact you're better for having not played it. CoD2 is wayyyyy better than CoD3 and CoD4 will be a step up from CoD2.

Actually, as a console owner who actually bought the steaming pile which is CoD3 before I realized how bad it was, I felt slighted that they ever put that crap on any video game platform.:roll:

That just goes to show you how much I hated CoD3, and how much I loved CoD2.

I hear your pain, but I'll give the developers the benefit of the doubt because they have always prioritized the PC version in the past.

Also, the COD4 demo ran butter smooth at 1080p on my PC which inidicated solid optimization. This isn't typical for my PC... E6600, Radeon 1900gt, 2GB Corsair 800, nVidia 680i. I am video card weak.

Infinity Ward FTW!! They like PC gamers more, they just don't wanna tell the console gamers:D but they're kinda saying "hey, any sane person would sell stuff to the console market to make more money, it's like doubling our profits!"

yeah I heard CoD3 was crap, and I also heard that Infinity Ward was working on CoD4 during the "CoD3" time because they wanted to get out of WWII earlier than publishers wanted them to, so they had treyarch or whoever work on CoD3, then that flops, and then IF reveals CoD4 and everyone forgets about 3.

To sum up the TC's post for those who didn't - or couldn't - make out what he was trying to say:

I am mad that a mediocre game didn't get released on PC, and think we as a community should punish the company by not buying a good/great game that is being released on PC. This will surely result in IW not dedicating its time and effort to making great PC games, and instead letting treyarch release mediocre wannabe games that we may or may not get.

Because that's what we want, right? We want to alienate a quality PC developer, right? That would be a good thing for us to do, right?

sry thats not what i meant..i said no boycott but a way for them to release it on pc also..sry if you didnt like it i played 1 hour on my frnd house and i liked it..and do you have a personal issue or something ..i just came here for a frndly chat to say "hey i like cod3 if you like it cant we do something as gamers for them to make cod3pc :)" and you go you are an idiot :(

Honestly, I didn't play it enough to judge it properly. Mostly I was judging it on how I was playing it with a pad. All FPS games take a -3 hit when I'm playing them with a pad.

But at any rate, Call of Duty 3 wasn't Call of Duty 3, not really. They just rebadged it to help sales. Companies do that a lot. Call of Duty 3 was really Big Red One 2. Call of Duty 4 is really Call of Duty 3.

And Big Red One never got a PC release, and no one cared at all, but as soon as its rebadged sequel came along, people cared plenty. Names are pretty powerful things, I guess.

Perhaps I am unclear as to the issue. Call of Duty 4 is being released on the PC.

Oh, I see your edit; You wish COD3 to be released for the PC. I feel confident that a boycott of COD4 would not result in seeing COD3 get released for the PC. You don't send any kind of message with a boycott like this; You only end up missing out on a great game.

oo my topic got official gamespot post yayyy :P yes cod 4 is on pc and ever other console :( but im talking about cod 3..as i said i played it 1 hour liked it but no pc :(

I guess everything is relative.

When I said I was video card weak, I was being jealous of the guys with quad-core PCs with 8800 GTX cards.
