[PC gamers] What genre do you play most?

Is 5 answers the max for poll answers? To bad i wanted to include atleast racing and sport games :/

Anyway i'd like to know what PC gamers interest the most. Please don't vote if you spent most time on a console. It would be great if you can supply a post as to why you play that genre the most. And possible why you dislike other genres.

I vote for RTS, because starcraft 2 just rocks to much. I love strategy games the most and really enjoy the tense moments it can create. I play a lot of city / empire builders too.

I dislike FPS, i used to play doom, quake, halflife and counterstrike, became real good at counterstrike and now have a been there done that feeling. It just doesn't attract me that much anymore.

I have never been interested in puzzle or sports games either except for soccer managers because of the strategic gameplay.

I think most of my Steam games are FPS. The only RTSes I play are COH and SC2. While I have ME 1 and 2 for PC, I have the first for 360 as well and the KoTORs too-- it's more fair to say that's the genre I "console". FPS it is.

I generally prefer RPG games, I think RTS games comes second, and FPS games 3rd.

In that order.

FPS by a very far distance, on PC at least. Other genres I play frequently are RTS and RPG, though the latter solely due to Oblivion, which is more of an action/adventure game anyway at times.

Simulators:

Flight sims - sometimes, I'm not in the mood to shoot and kill anything. Actually, that's most of the time. Over half my gaming time is spent on FSX.

FPS most, then RTS. I also play other genres (RPG, sports, action adventure, indie) on the PC, but I don't find them as addicting as the 2 genres I mentioned.

Fair enough madmenno I dunno why ppl like FPS so much. Every FPS is same old **** Except BF series and cod(not mw2)

I mostly play RPGs, followed closely by strategy games (turn-based, real-time, and 4X).

I agree about MMOs in general. I voted RPG but my true loves are RPG/FPS hybrids. They make both FPS and RPG lovers hateful as a rule but I don't care.

Also been playing alot of city builders/strategy games this year to.

I don't really have a go-to genre, i'm usually playing whatever interesting-looking games came out recently and maybe one main-stay multiplayer game that is either a RTS or a FPS.

I voted for RTS because usually i spend more time in any given RTS's multiplayer (assuming its good) than any given FPS game's multiplayer.

Having said that I haven't really played a RTS in a month or so, but i played Starcraft 2 and Company of Heroes Online a ton in the summer.

MMO's all day

I play FPSs significantly more than anything else, but I like RPGs better.

I don't consider people who play RPGs pc gamers, because they require no skillz. To be a pc gamer you must be one with the Quake 3z or CSSz.JigglyWiggly_

Anyway, I mostly play RPG's but FPS's come a close second. I do have a much higher tolerance for medicority in FPS - unless it's really godawfully bad, I'm going to play it and I'm going to enjoy it. RPG's need to be particulary good to invest my time in.

RTS's come at a distant third.
