Hey I believe that PC Games have no region locks in place, but I'm not 100%, so are there any region locks?
I'm just asking because I want to try and buy some games from overseas (I live in Australia) because they can be cheaper.

No, there arn't any region locks.

There are for certain regions. Try getting a japanese game and see if it will run on your PC.
It will run, but that's after you've DL'd a bunch of cracking software and other stuff to make the program think that your PC is japanese.

I don't think that applies to this bloke because, as far as I know, English is the official language of Australia.
No locks. I found a region-specific game only once in my gaming history and it was like 6-7 years ago. The solution was simple - change the regional settings of your computer to whatever country you got the game from and it will install. After installation, you can switch back your regional settings to your country and there will be no trouble.
Patches are region specific though... usually. I am in Europe and I often find myself downloading a patch from its default link which is usually a US link and then it wouldn't install, so I have to look for the EU version of the patch and download it again after that.
