What are the good pc games that came out in the last 5 years? I looking for decent pc games to play. The only one I've found so far is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game from 2003 that is really good. List them all please in any genre.

Thanks for the info and the link. I must have different tastes, because I really like this TMNT game. Keep the list going. I would like to know about a good handful of decent games even obscure stuff that turned out to be good. I am going to look into the Elder Scrolls IV game. I like the Baulder Gate Series and the older Forgotten Realms stuff, but that's been said and done ages ago. I'm looking for this generations classics. The Half-LIfe stuff looks decent also. I did play Red Faction which is great so I like that sort of thing.

Deus Ex was 2000 or maybe 2001, so I can't bring that up, let alone System Shock 2 from 1999. Independence War 2 was released around 2002, which is exactly five years ago, so maybe you can look into that. Half-Life 2 is okay in singleplayer, but its main strength lies in the mods. Particularly Garry's Mod. It's also pretty scaleable, but don't expect to play any Source engine game well if your CPU's too old(especially when there are tons of physics objects out and about). Battlefield 2 is a great multiplayer title, but it's also a system hog. I hope you have 2 GB of RAM for it. TESIV: Oblivion is alright, but it's another game that can bring outdated hardware down to its knees. The combat system is a nice improvement, but that doesn't stop people from saything that Morrowind or maybe even Daggerfall were better games in the series.

I was going to say those, and Far Cry was good also, and the Total War series.

Well here are my computer specs and go off of this.

It's a pentium 4 2002 dell mobo with 312 mb ram is all I could scrounge. It's DDR2 PC2100 266mhz ram. I have a 9500 ati 256 mb video card I'm just guessing on the card number. Creative live audio card. All this for $40. Could of been free if I was a garbage picker.

Ouch, and I thought I had it bad with my system(AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 512 MB DDR-266/PC-2100 SDRAM, ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB, all on a crappy Compaq mobo). Your graphics card might be slightly better or worse(definitely better if you can unlock the extra pipelines to turn that 9500 into a full-fledged 9700), but even 512 MB of RAM isn't enough anymore from my personal experience. I don't see how you'll make it with even less than that concerning today's games. Simply put, unless you upgrade, most of the games released in the last five years will simply be too much for your system; thus, you'll probably have to lower those expectations a bit and go back to late-1990s titles so that I can give a few more recommendations.

.. I have to stress why people even bother asking this... All you have to do is a all game search and look at the top rated game in any and all genres that fits int he past 5 years.. Then read up on it, asking a forum is lining you up for disapointment because every one has different tastes.

Well probably because he's not a goat that trusts every rating gamespot gives. I love many games that gamespot gives a low rating or doesn't bother to give a non-bias review. I mean what rating did gamespot give Oblivion, like 9.5 or something, & the voice overs & tilt of the game is so lame it's sad!

This is great info. I'll need to look into these recomendations. As for the lists top down rating. I find some of the better games in history are missed by reviewers or people who promote the larger companies.

No I won't be able to upgrade.

Yes I like TMNT and I only had this machine for 5 days now, but I do not complain for $40's.

well man if u like so much that TMNT game u should surely try the Pince of Persia trilogy.Honestly now, this game is the most unique game in years...the story, atmosphere and gameplay...are by far the best in a game ever...of course it's my favourite game....but if my point of view is altered just because i like all those things...then i'm glad to recommend u this masterpiece....ask about and u'll see what i'm talkin about....also if u like fighting games...try enter the matrix and matrix path of neo...just for the fightings...cause the stories aren't so good....and with that sysem u've got over there...i'm pretty sure that everything i've recommended u is working...so have fun playing these games...

My favourite 3 would have to be Morrowind, Age Of Mythology and Max Payne from the last 5 years.
