Well here are my computer specs and go off of this.
It's a pentium 4 2002 dell mobo with 312 mb ram is all I could scrounge. It's DDR2 PC2100 266mhz ram. I have a 9500 ati 256 mb video card I'm just guessing on the card number. Creative live audio card. All this for $40. Could of been free if I was a garbage picker.
with those specs, i would recommend:
Morrowind, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Freedom Fighters, Black and White, Divine Divinity, Zanzarah, GTA:Vice City/San Andreas, Medieval Total War/Rome Total War, Homeworld 1/2, Neverwinter Nights, Warrior Kings, Space Rangers, Starwars KotOR, Dungeon Siege, Age of Mythology, Age of Emipres II, Impossible Creatur, Temple of Elemental Evil, Freelancer, Warhammer40k: DoW, Galactic Civilization
that's all i could remembered
Ouch, and I thought I had it bad with my system(AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 512 MB DDR-266/PC-2100 SDRAM, ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB, all on a crappy Compaq mobo). Your graphics card might be slightly better or worse(definitely better if you can unlock the extra pipelines to turn that 9500 into a full-fledged 9700), but even 512 MB of RAM isn't enough anymore from my personal experience. I don't see how you'll make it with even less than that concerning today's games. Simply put, unless you upgrade, most of the games released in the last five years will simply be too much for your system; thus, you'll probably have to lower those expectations a bit and go back to late-1990s titles so that I can give a few more recommendations.Well here are my computer specs and go off of this.

.. I have to stress why people even bother asking this... All you have to do is a all game search and look at the top rated game in any and all genres that fits int he past 5 years.. Then read up on it, asking a forum is lining you up for disapointment because every one has different tastes.sSubZerOo
Well probably because he's not a goat that trusts every rating gamespot gives. I love many games that gamespot gives a low rating or doesn't bother to give a non-bias review. I mean what rating did gamespot give Oblivion, like 9.5 or something, & the voice overs & tilt of the game is so lame it's sad!
This is great info. I'll need to look into these recomendations. As for the lists top down rating. I find some of the better games in history are missed by reviewers or people who promote the larger companies.
No I won't be able to upgrade.
Yes I like TMNT and I only had this machine for 5 days now, but I do not complain for $40's.
