Just watched Totalbiscuit's Gamecon coverage of Guild Wars 2 PvE. Holy crap. Wow, it looks amazing. I can't wait. I may even buy it on day 1, something I would not normally do for an MMO.

Bioshock Infinite - didn't like the original, but this one looks REALLY good IMO

Back on topic - yes, looking bright and hopefully brighter further down the road to late 2012 and 2013 ... my personal interest is focused on GW2, Dead Island, Skyrim, Deus Ex HR, Rage, Warhammer 40K:SM, somewhat interested in what Heroes VI will end up as ... and that pretty much covers it ... D3, MW3, BF3 lost my interest some time ago ( ah well ... ).:roll:

What is most promising for PC in the recent years is the explosion of indie games. The amount of them hitting the platform is just...staggering. Not to mention the surprising quality. Many of them harken back to the complexity and depth of old games, early 2000s, the 90s or even further back, but mixed with modern dah enhancements and graphics. I feel like I'm reliving my childhood all over again...

Anyways, I'm most excited for Planetside 2. A three faction battle with 300+ players on each side? YES PLEASE.

Here are the ones I am watching and excited about.

Shooters: Tribes Ascend, Planetside 2, Serious Sam 3, Hard Reset, Battlefield 3 - We have a lot of great shooters coming out that are best played on PC. This is great.

Strategy: Sword of the Stars 2, Tropico 4, Might and Magic Heroes 6, King Arthur Roleplaying Wargame 2 - Can I get a huzzah! for strategy games!

RPG - Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, and numerous other RPGs

other: War of the Roses - sounds like a great middle ages combat multiplayer shooter.

Red Orchestra is a fantastic indie shooter, and RO2 is likely to follow in it's footsteps.
