Yeah, this has been a great year. But last year was pretty weak, as was the year before that. How will 2008 stack up? It's actually looking like a pretty hot year for PCs -assuming we don't get spanked with delays - withgames like FarCry 2, Assassin's Creed and Spore to name just a few hitting PC shelves in '08.
But all systems - and most especially the PC - experience peaks and troughs. Yeah, this has been a great year - and the awesome titles have been hitting like machinegun fire (as someone above said, not by coincidence), but how long before we hit another dry spell of two months or six months or eight months?
I've been having great fun these last eight weeks, but after Crysis and a couple other of the games releasing dangerously close to christmas, I'm wondering how long it'll be before another game comes around that's worth buying...
Don't want to seem like Buzz Killington but while the console gamers are getting stuff like Mass Effect and GTA4, we may well find ourselves thumbing through June and July on our calendars, sighing despondently...

Well, instead of sighing and moaning (like some people do on these forums) get a 360 or PS3, they are pretty cheap right now anyway... Unless you want to wait for a port of those games, which takes forever imo. They are probably best played with a gamepad anyway.
But yeah, I'm overwhelmed by all the games coming out right now. I'm almost a little tired of gaming, too much to play, too little time and exams coming up in a month...
Seriously, people are hardcore if they are able to play through all the games mentioned above. It has not been that long since they were released... Especially the Witcher and Hellgate. Those games take time to play through.
My 360 has been collecting dust since i bought my new GPU. ME, GTA and a couple other games will make it interesting again soon enough though.
