Never understood why you'd want such a big ass monitor. You'll completely murder you're settings.

I'd go for the 24" if you have to go that big. A decent res, fast response timer (I assume) and a higher contrast ration.

I couldn't play my PC on a 42". I sit too close because I need to put my mouse on something. I play my 360 on one though. That's a blast.

there are 30" monitors from apple and dell.. dont know if there are any bigger monitoprs than that...

but if u plan on using an 8800GT on a huge screen...either get the 24" monitor or 42" HDTV.

the 30" monitor will be torture for ur 8800GT at native reso. actually i think the 24" might be a slight torture as well.best bet would be 22".

but if u still insist on size... then HDTV 42"...has lower reso than monitors so ur gc would be able to handle it easily

Since you like 24". I suggest get a samsung LCD their 24" is @ 4-5ms (not sure). I have a 2ms 22", the Samsung 22" 226BW, is the best for gaming/price. So I suggest you look into that. But their 24" is equally good. I think 42" is overkill, and you need a really good graphics card to support that. Not that the native resolution would be that high (I think?)
