I'm wondering if this is anygood for games and what other mice under $50 do u recommend?PS: I want something that looks cool and is Reliable but not some fancy thing it just needs @ normal mouse buttons and a scroll wheel. Cheers!

Wow... i reall can't imagine using something like that for gaming.

I bought this mouse and have never looked back.

Very cheap, has two side buttons (very handy for FPS's) scroll wheel, has two buttons either end of the scroll wheel to instantly change the sensitivity up or down (great for sniping) has great ergonomic qualities, fits nice and snug in your hand (right hand only, lefty's will have trouble)

You really can't go wrong with it.

If you can't find anything better, I'd recommend this. It's my backup for whenever my Deathadder craps out.

I've had my 518 for 3 years and it still works flawlessly. I've just had to replace the mouse skates every now and then with some hyperglides, I highly recommend the 518.

I've had my Razer Mamba for a few months now....best mouse on the market. Only downside is the $112 price, but I'll be keeping this for several years.

I just got a Razer Deathadder (yesterday, actually...my old generic MS lasermouse finally crapped out after about five years of loyal service).

Its shaped a bit different, but outside of taking a while to get used to I really like it. It wasnt too expensive, about 55 bucks at Best Buy.

Have to second the Mamba. As fancy as mice come however it is truly excellent.

After having my Logitech G7 for 4 years it was a great replacement.

Damn dude, come on! Why did you buy from Bestbuy? You can get it for $46 on Amazon with free shipping! Well you can still return it to Bestbuy for a full refund.

I don't have a clue on how people need anything more than this :P .

Lol. It does have 2 side buttons, it's just not clear from the picture.

2 buttons and a scroll wheel, that's all I need; cheap as hell, durable as hell; even the paint is wearing out but still works like a charm. Like people say : "dá pra comprar com o dinheiro da merenda" :D .

im not a believer in a mouse making a huge difference in games and i play a lot of online shooters.

I have a wireless microsoft 5000 or something, it is optical and has a left and right programmable button in addition to the norm

I have this mouse

It has 7 buttons including a button for on the fly DPI change and supports up to 3600dpi

Also quite ergonomic. Only drawback its that is a bit big and heavy and for laptop users that are on the move i wouldnt recommend it

Also its reasonably priced at $25-30

I actually hate side buttons. I always click on them accidentally. I once used an expensive, fancy mouse and it was so uncomfortable that I nearly threw it out of the window. Now I use a Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse and it's all I need really.

MX518 is the greatest piece of hardware ever made, its old too. I've purchased 1 for each of my PC's and I have 2 for backup sealed and stored away. I hope they never stop making this mouse.

After my Microsoft Optical went out, I bought this thing for around 25 bucks at Amazon (guess it's still 25 buck, too.).

If you don't have big hands (like 7.5 inches from palm to mid finger) or a long thumb (2-3/4"), the side button reach is going to be a problem. Also, it's not for those that use a claw grip. It's ackward shape will likely strain your fingers and wrist.

As for the OP link... that thing looks like a piece of junk to me. But if you really want it... they seem to be about 9 bucks at Amazon.... including the shipping

I own the DeathAdder 3500dpi model and highly recommend it . But the MX518 is a great bargain too. I think Newegg.com has a pretty good deal on them w/ rebate.
