Which is better?
PC
or
PS2?
I think PS2 is better?

If you go to the store right now and buy a PC, it will be way better than PS2.
If you compare PS2 to a 6-8 years old computer PS2 is better.
Well I have always enjoyed PC. And at the moment the PC is, of course, way way better than PS2.
With that said, I find the PS2 the best console out there outside of NES and Super NES. So no, there is no shame in liking the PS2 lol.
But honestly...why on earth would you take the PS2 over the PC beside the fact that it is dirt cheap.

And has a lot of great games that the PC doesn't have, you mean?
Anyway, System Wars is the right place to ask this q.
1) Needs to be in System Wars
2) You can't be serious? How on earth can you compare a PS2 to a PC?! PC is arguably the best gaming machine, this is no contest.
If someone doesn't quote this question, I definitley will.

I dont know how to say this politely, but I just cant help but think those games are obsolete now. Thats the whole reason I like PS2; the game selection. But the fact is there is just no reason to play a PS2 now when there are so many great games for any platform. This, of course, does not apply to anyone who already owns a PS2 and a good game selection.
I guess I Worded myself poorly...why on earth would you take the PS2 over any current platform beside the fact it is dirt cheap. I mean, dont get me wrong, there are a lot of good games...but they were good then. I appreciate them, but I would be crazy to prefer Quake or Doom over Quake IV and Doom III from an objective standpoint. Theyre more fun, they look better, etc.
Well, Mrbo. I don't have a PS2 and I certainly don't want one right now. But I kind of regret not playing all those great games like MGS-series, God of War 1 & 2, the last FF-game and so on. PS2 isn't dead yet, it still has some must-play games that you can't get anywhere else. I'd get one, but I don't have the time to play any more games ATM. My PC and 360 (not my PS3, lol, shiny crap...) are more that enough right now.
Kidding about PS3 being crap... It's a good BluRay-player.

...and doing that will cost about 10-15 PS2. Which probably amount to about 2 years worth of PS2 game purchases versus zero PC games (legally speaking....).

doesn't the PS3 have backwards compatibility?

I got the European 40 Gig version, so unfortunately: no. I could get a PS2 and a few games for the price of backwards-compatibility, so I did not bother.
Fire, I've seen dedicated BR-players that cost less and probably perform better with a 1080p-TV. But since I want lots of future PS3-games, I thought "What the hell, I'll just get it".

40gig doesn't.... and the other's have hit or miss backward compatibility, with the 60gig US model being a lot more reliable because of the hardware it has. PS2 is still the most economical choice to play PS2 games, though. Not to mention the most realiable, option. Also... the rumble controller doesn't cost extra, when you get the PS2.
