Which CPU should i get?

Pentinum D

Core Duo

Core 2 Duo

Centrino Duo

Core 2 Duo Extreme

AMD X2

AMD FX

AMD Turion

AMD Optima

And i think thats all i can think of. Also, if i get a quad-core processor will it even work with some games? Cause NO games as i know that are out have support for quadc ore processors. In that case, can anyone list the ones i have said there from best to worst and if there are any i have left out please tell me. Thanks!

Core 2 Duo have the performance lead, but the Athlon X2 owns the budget sector.

It all depends on how much you want to spend.

Hmmmmmm...

Well i hear they dont have a BIG difference. So ill go with X2.

Question: What is better, a PC with a normal Video Card (PCI Express i think) with an X2 3800 processor or a pc with on board r graphics that share your RAM with an X2 4200 processor?

Anyway is there such things as an X2 with just a number like 3800 or does it have to have the plus at the end or does it even matter? Like 3800+.

a (real) video card with any processor will almost always perform better than something with integrated graphics and a high-end processor. Also, the + thing is just a marketing gimmick. Same for Celeron D: You would think it stood for dual-core, but no

Well, and X2 is worse than a Core 2 Duo but a  integrated graphics is worse than a real card. Hmmmmmm...

More opinions could turn my head anyway now...

His question was about the X2, but yes, the Core 2 Duo is better, but if you already have a 939 or AM2 mobo, the c2d's better performance isn't worth a new motherboard...

About graphics cards... can you get any one as long as you have the system requirements for it?

Cool!

Also, probably my last question is what type of internet connection is it like

Speed

ISP

and how it performs in agames and just going on line.

Also, do you think that 1.5 mpbs is fast?
