Pc piracy eh?

Fisrt i'd like to say that even though I rarely post here, I'm a great fan of this forum, especially the pc thread. I see that the pc platform is getting a lot of stick lately with piracy. A lot of devs left us for dead, preferring consoles, so let's get to the point. Activision made a lot of fuss about piracy (kicking us pc gamers btw), slating their love for consoles et al. Seeing the number of torrents for the COD : modern warfare 2 on the net for the X360, seems like the joke's on them!

Ohh they can, they can... "Lean was removed because the game is not optimized for it" < Did that made any sense? No? Well IW think that what they do is totally right and for the good of pc gaming, so if the game does not sell well the only thing that could be wrong will be piracy :lol:

Well they must start to realise that everything they touch can't change into gold. I'd love to see the game tank (because of all their stupid decisions, to teach them a lesson) but we all know the game will sell well anyways. So...

They know that a lot of the reasons a game tanks is because of poor decision making, but that won't matter. They will publicly blame piracy because it's easier. They don't need to convince us, after all. We know better. They need to convince those stupid people who own their stock. You know, the business types who don't know a vid card from an external hard drive? The technological morons? Yeah, those guys are easy to lie to when it comes to technical matters. Piracy makes a good scapegoat for poor sales. It sounds convincing, the name itself is dramatic, they can add DRM and stuff to "prove" they are donig something about it to make the share holders happy, and they can massage the statistics to tell whatever tale they want. It's like the communists in the 50's, you can blame them for anything and the general (stupid!) public will lap it right up.

So don't look for this to change anytime soon. The real reason devs are abandoning the PC is that the sales on other platforms are so much greater. They just don't want to be honest and say so, so as not to alienate what few PC fans they think they have left. So they make up some cock and bull story about piracy. Get used to it, it'll be going on for awhile yet.

I hope this doesn't sell well and they don't make another IW cod game for PC. If they are going to make their next games like this, I don't freakin want them.
