I bought this game and first off my contoller didnt even respond to it for a week. Next, I finally get on just to have the game so laggy I can barely even aim my weapon. Finally, I can login to an online profile but I lose connection to whatever host Im joining 100% of the time.

For those out there who want to riducule me

1) I know how to use the controller and its software perfectly + it works with every other game I have

2) My computer does not lag at all with any of my other FPS games plus it is no way near its limit as to what it can run.

3) Every other game I login to online i have perfect connection no lag

Thus my conclusion RSV2 SUCKSSSS

Moral of the story: Use the mouse + keyboard, it's the best setup anyways.

Why would you want to use a controller anyways? And what are your specs?

If your are speaking of calibration in terms of the controller yes I did that, no i didnt work. I finally applied a persistent profile to make it work.

Click on the Start button, and search for "dxdiag" and click on the display tab.

Probably your video card is causing the lag. Could you try and find out the model?

Try going into your device manager (Its in Control Panel here for Windows 7 don't remember for Vista) and click display adapters and it should say.

You wouldnt want to play anyways. With a controller, all the mouse and keyboard users would be destroying you. If your more comfortable with a controller its fine. But playing any pc shooter with one isnt a very good idea.

The first game was worse, the first game had mouse accelaration which made aiming really hard. If you lag then you either got a pretty dated pc or a personall problem with that specific game. I had a similar problem with fallout 3. It was the drivers.

Mouse accelaration? Beats me, bioshock and call of jurarez bound in blood had it to and i couldnt aim well. I did not enjoy those games just because of that. It felt like i was not actually controlling the game like all the other fps i play.

I played through bioshock, but I thought it was kinda sucky for the hype it got.. mouse acceleration only made it worse.

First, I Laugh in your face for using a controller for an FPS on the computer, Go back to your X-Box. Second, I have the game and it runs perfectly smooth at about 70 framers per second and I never ever have a problem except with the one bug that was left in the game (this being the sound glitch that an happen from time to time). Third, I think this thread and your other needs to be reported to the moderators as nothing but a waste of space and trolling for trouble. Enjoy your warning you will receive in the mail........Face Palm!

MrUnSavory1

Why would you laugh in some ones face because they like to use a controller? Maybe he was a console player that started playing on PC recently and hasn't got used to the keyboard mouse setup. Theres always more then one way to do things.

I never had problems with RS V2 but then again the sequel was just made too quickly. The visuals seemed a little bland and it just wasn't as fun as the first Vegas.

Vegas 2 is one of my favorite games this gen. I play it online regularly without any issues. It's a shame that UBI is switching to this new DRM

Not being harsh TC, but seriously, know your PC specs before you come on here claiming how it's the games fault. You need to upgrade your graphics card.

Agreed, game runs good, even on my friends 1900xt it runs fine. The TC first didnt know what GPU he had, then he only has a 3470m, Which granted its not a IGP, but doesnt mean he should expect games to run good on his PC in the first place. R6V2*(most correct way of saying the game IMO) isnt greatly optimized, but I've had no problems with what the TC had, and I've spent well over 40hrs + in the game between SP and MP, including using the x360 controller once in a while. I'm sorry TC you had problems, but not everyone suffers from those, especially those with better PCs where the game would run fine like it should.
