[QUOTE="UltimateGamer95"][QUOTE="NSR34GTR"]Oh no I think the motherboard could be dead. why? Because if you tried one stick of RAM and a different CPU and it still didn't work it could be very likely that the motherboard is dead and or the power supply as well. This happened to me 5 years ago.everything went well until it was what i though a restart. then it never turned on

Are you sure it didn't go into sleep mode? Windows 7 seems to have intermittent issues with my motherboard when entering sleep mode. It will do all kinds of weird things, like make the lights on my G15 flash randomly, and make the display unresponsive. It doesn't fix even when I restart, I have to cut power to the motherboard entirely.
Try this: unplug your surge protector (or simply flip the switch on your PSU to off) for about 15-20 seconds. Plug it back in, and see if it turns on.
EDIT: Nevermind, heh..didn't read the entire post. Ignore the above, unless you didn't unplug your system when you replaced the CPU/RAM
Just to clarify: is the system not turning on at ALL? Does it turn on, but the display doesn't reieve any signal? Is the signal only lost once it gets in to Windows 7? Do you hear any 'beeps' during boot-up?
If it seems like the system is mostly silent, other than the fans (i.e. you hear no beeps from the POST sequence, no sounds/lights associated with reading from the HDD) ..then your motherboard is probably dead.
Well did you check out your error codes that the motherboard will give out if something is weong. look up your beep code, or light code if there are no beeps and no lights then I dont know what to tell you.

I kinda got lost between here and the thread title. Is the PC dead? Or do you just have a problem where your display turns off after Windows finishes loading? If its the latter - its possible Windows defaulted to a resolution your monitor does not support, assuming you already tried both monitor ports. Hopefully getting Nvidia drivers loaded will solve the problem. You might have some luck trying safe mode
Is it powering on?
Are you getting post beeps?
If you are getting beeps, how many of them are there and in what pattern?
If its powering on and you arent getting a long repeating series of post beeps it is more than likely trying to feed an unsupported HV frequency or resolution to the display. Try another one if you can just long enough to set the screen settings to something that is a known supported value for your monitor.

Does nothing show up at all? Monitor shouldn't matter to get into the bios before windows loads. If you don't get anything at all not even the bios some thing is wrong. The motherboard runs through a series of checks and if anything fails it will not start up at all so make sure you have at least cpu, ram, and psu connected. Also make sure with the ram. Some Ram types will not run if it is a pair and you're only using one stick. You will need both paired Ram sticks for it to work.

Best option is to find another board to test. See if you can borrow a motherboard from someone that has the same socket as you do. Windows 7 should not be able to stop your motherboard from starting. Sorry to say this but it sounds like your board is dead. If after troubleshooting and you do end up finding out that the board died you probably would want to check your power supply with a Meter to make sure it's working correctly.
Hold F5 before windows boots, and enter safe vga mode, then try and get a monitor driver for your monitor and install it.
I'm still a bit confused here. I think he said nothing starts now so he only gets a blank screen. When you turn on the computer do you see anything on the screen? Like the motherboard logo, ram checking, etc...
I think we are confused whether or not the computer actually is powering up (like fans, LED's, etc).
the computer powers on . fans spin. hdd spins. the gpu works in another pc etc..... after fully installing win 7 rc the pc the nretsarts to complete installation. it was after this this i cant get a display. everything works apart from the displayI think we are confused whether or not the computer actually is powering up (like fans, LED's, etc).

I had the smae problem. The motherboard or graphics card is not dead. For some reason, the refresh rate is not recognized and caused problems after you intall Win7. All you have to do is hit F8 on the boot and select VGA mode. The OS will complete the install at 640x480. After that, you can tweak your settings and refresh rate until you find what works for you. I hope this helps.

Then it's a hardware problem. There is no way Windows 7 is causing this issue if it's happening that early in boot-up.
Yes, try using another monitor. If that doesn't help, your PCI-E slot may be bad..try using another one on your board, if possible.

If you no video AT ALL,its your videocard thats the most likely culprit.Maybe try re-seating it in the slot, borrow another from someone. And if You havent tried the obvious, power down and unplug the monitor and computer, plug in,and try then.freekninjincvideo card works. ive treid it in another pc
