Ok I just got a new pc for a budget price, This is what it says on the side...

2.8GHz, 512MB Memory , Intel Pentium 4 processor, GeForce FX 5200 128MB,

I wanna be able to play games like SupCom and BF 2142 smoothly.

Im gonna buy an extra gig memory, but is there any recomendations on what else i should get?

put a better GeForce video card like 7900 or 8800. Then u will be ok to play everything for one year ^^

u could get the 7600GT nvidia it plays all the games on the market,not on high but not low either. good price too. tis a great card.

yeah, since 8800 series cards are 1) too expensive, and 2) do not support SM4 right now, which is very stupid for a DX10 card, its best to save and get a 7600gt, and volt mod it!

 

And get a gig of ram (a 1x1gig to go with your 512, to give you 1.5gigs) this will help tremendously in your games.
