I would have to say PS3 (or Xbox 360 for that matter)
You have to pay a little more for the games, and they won't have good graphics. But what you do get is a lot more games for the consoles, and then you don't have to worry about all the bugs you get in PC games. With a console you get a for 300 or 400$(If you already got the HD tv), you get a machine which you can enjoy all the latest with for the next 3-5years. In that time you would probably have to replace your PC once to be able to keep up with latest games, and they will both probably cost twice as much.
It is a shame PC gaming has come to this, but it is really only for the strategy games and the MMO's you should buy a gaming PC, if you wanted one.
PS3 being a powerfull machine, still can't compare to the capabilities of a PC that seems to have limitless upgrades. PC's will always push pass what consoles are capable of. Heck the games start out being made on a PC with software, then is coded specifically for each console of its own.gamer082009Yes, but the difference is that then you are going to make a PC game ready get shipped, you have to make sure it works on all the of the types motherboards and gpu's capable of playing. In most cases you just can't do that without some bugs slipping through the cracks, to the constant annoyance for PC gamers. For the consoles you have to optimize for one type gpu and motherboard only. That's why you don't get bugs like that there.

TheFreeloader
I think with that post and especially that last sentence you might have got flamed if it was in SW.
1.) I don't accept that. PC has much bigger library of games, more depth in quality than consoles and that they are much cheaper. Moreover wasn't the problem for the PS3 this generation that it had a lack of good games to begin with.
2.) With consoles, graphics and scale of a game stay the same with PC its always advancing and if you pick the right parts it can outlast a console. So you essentially do get what you pay for.

I see what your getting at but isn't this generation consoles actually acting more like PCs where games actually do have bugs whice require patches to be downloaded to fix them. And usually there are not that many game-breaking bugs in PC games unless a game hasn't been developed properly so I sense a little bit of exaggeration.
I'm not trying to be biased I do have a PS3 and PC but even I can see PC as ultimately better but consoles are still great for their own reasons which is why I also have a PS3.
