I have a Nvidia 7900GS with PCI express X16. Can I plug it into a Gigabyte motherboard that has a PCI express 2.0 slot? Or does it HAS to be plugged into a PCI Express 1.0 x16?

2.0 PCI-e is perfectly backwards compatible with 1.1/1.0 PCI-e. PCI-e 1.0/1.1 works with 2.0 cards, but they only run at 1.0/1.1 speeds
