As default its set to auto, but, Am I getting the full potentional of my EVGA 8800GT 512MB?, I see it ranges from auto, then 100-150, is this settting to OC the GPU? should I go gradually higher, will it make gpu hotter? I need to know pros and cons, I don't want to lose my card, they are not free! and I am under budget!

Asus P5K, MOBO
EVGA 8800GT 512MB, SuperClocked
2GB, G.Skill RAM @ 1027MHZ (OC)
Intel E6750 @ 3.4Ghz
Zalman CNPS9500 AT, CPU cooler
Windows Vista 32Bit
320GB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Samsung OEM Optical Drive
CoolMax 500W PSU
CoolerMaster CM690 w/7 120mm Fans

Also do you guys know the default voltage for the CPU, I just did an update to the Bios and it turned all my OC to default, and I tried to find this info, but I can't, thanks. I'll appreciate all the replies!

This PCI-E Frequency you found will NOT Overclock the GPU at all (youre vid card) it will just give the PCI-E Bus more Bandwith? basicly there is no need to touch it even though i set mine to 105MHz. (even though i use a 7300GT :( )

I've never seen a motherboard that was stable with a PCI-e frequency above 115, and most boards can't even make it safely past 110. And the performance difference offered by the speed increase basically doesn't exist, or if it does it was in a benchmark I didn't read. The only real reason I'd mess with that setting is to lock the frequecy at 100 to make sure it's not fluctuating.

I'm not 100% sure, but there's probably a setting that will set all voltages to "Auto" that should work to get the voltage back to stock. That being said, I wouldn't take your processor past 1.5v on air cooling for any reason, and I'd only exceed 1.4v if you're an experienced overclocker.

please do not play with pci-e frequency.it can damage hdd if set to 120 or more.

with 115 u can see 1or2 fps increased.

i think 100 is the best....though i put to auto.

I leave it at 100mhz :|...............i have never seen or heard any overclocker mention changing it from that for any benefit as well :|..........................If you did update your BIOS while your PC was overclocked and it still works, you should buy a lotto ticket as you're a very lucky man.

thanks guys for all the suggestions and comments and replies, I've been playing Crysis on High at 1284 x 768 and its playable, I had the frequency at auto and it played well, when I changed to 100mhz it kind of starting behaving weird, after all the replies I've read, I will leave it at auto. I don't want to lose my card or not being covered by the warranty, thanks guys.
