I have a PCI-E slot on my motherboard it says right below it so I'm sure its one but it doesn't have one of those little white clip things at the end of it, so did it fall off or do some not have clips? I'm just wondering because my video card bit the dust and I just want to know if I get a new card will it function alright without a clip?

the clips only purpose is to make it easier to get the card out. My old motherboard doesn't have one of those clips. You can still replace it, just a little harder to yank it out.

Basically when you push on the clip, it pushes up on the card popping it out of the slot.
