Error? I would just add a 2 to that 261 = 2261 maybe?

2,394.

I'll run it again, later, when I'm not trying to play Minecraft.

EDIT: 2,476, without anything else running.

Dunno. It does seem a bit odd that it would score your PC higher than mine. But, I guess anomalies are to be expected with any benchmark.

Something is weird with PCMark 7,

Igot 2692, Q6600 @ 3.4 and a GTX470 which was OC'ed to 710 coreand 1900 mem (PCMark is reading this wrong).

I got a 2264 from my somewhat outdated rig which I haven't really updated for over a year; although I did buy a 5770 to replace my dead 4870 but I don't consider that an upgrade.

GPU doesn't appear to have much impact on the test. I dropped GPU down to the stock (not reference) 715MHz and scored 2591 (which is in margin of error)(with my CPU @3.8GHz).

LMAO, this is weird now, I'm still scoring higher than yours, clocked 400Mhz less, a older CPU and a slightly better GPU, I dont think its 400 points though, should be about 150 tops.

Don't think so, the test make sure to test the HDD's, a SSD will give a much better result than with a typical mecanical drive.

You have an SSD? If so, sounds like HD performance might have a bit too much influence on the test.

Did you buy the full version?

CPU was only running @ 4Ghz for this benchmark, the GPU @ only 900, the ram wasnt OC'ed at all.

ofc. it did, you cant change the trialversions testsuite. Yes only 24/7 OC, the CPU is stable all the way beond 4.4Ghz, and the graphic beond 935Mhz core/2000Mem, and the ram modules wasn't oced at all. The HT was only @ 2500.

Nice. OC a bit more and you'll get a better score yet. ;)

My results when I benched at slightly over 5GHz.

Yeah, it's not really based off GPU's. That's what 3DMark11 is for.

This benchmark isn't based on just graphics cards. (I'm proof of that) ;)

Quote from PC Mark:

PCMark 7 includes 7 separate test suites combining more than 20 individual workloads covering storage, computation, image and video manipulation, web browsing and gaming.(Not much on the gaming to make a big difference though)

If you want a GPU benchmark, which is more for gaming, then you'd have to use 3DMark11, not PCMark7.

Ram @ 667Mhz is normal. DDR (Double data rate) ram basically doubles your 667 Mhz, thus making it 1333. I'm sure someone here can give you a more technical explanation.

3517 - still using regular 7200 RPM hard drives, which as we've seen above can really increase your numbers (having SSD's that is)....
