The review summary for Medal of Honor: Airborne, as reviewed by PCZONE. (Granted, it does release at the beginning of september, but they reviewed the version that they had.)

Graphics: Occasionally gorgeous, but curiously old-school characters
Sound: Constant battle, with moments of musical emotion
Multiplayer: Great meld of old Medal of Honor and Airborne features

The Good:

  • Innovations are interesting, and they work
  • Rewards effort and experimentation
  • Fun multiplayer experience

The Bad:

  • Short single-player campaign
  • Not always the prettiest

Overall Score: 83/100

Minumum System Requirements: 2.8Ghz processor, 1GB RAM and a 128MB graphics card.
Just the specs for un-knowing people.

I'm supprised that it was rated so highly. The gameplay looked incredibly derivative. They should really have added this-

The Bad:

ITS ANOTHER WWII GAME

Even if all of the GS editors committed group suicide in honour of how awesome this game is, I could never pick up a WWII themed game again.

Whats bad about it being a WW2 game? You can't really say a game is bad just because its a WW2 game

Yes you can. No matter how much these folks try to change the formula, the core gameplay always stays the same, and I don't think I'll ever be able to find shooting a German with an MP40 exciting again. See, it doesn't even sound fun to begin with

I'm pretty sure the 2.8ghz is for single core Intel processors, and that's not at all demanding now.

Yup, I also don't care that its not pretty or is short, only thing stopping me is that is WW2 based. There are just too many of them and I didn't found WW2 interesting even before.

There are many areas of WW2 games haven't covered yet, maybe they can make a WW2 game where you are a chinese rebel agaist the japanese in some asian contries like singapore or malaysia

True, but its never going to happen. The European theatre has been milked to the extreme, and most of these games play in a pretty simmilar way. The fact that you an jump out of a plane isnt going to sell it for me. Frontline was the only great MoH game in my opinion, and I don't want to get fustrated with these lacklustre sequels.

Doesn't seem quite as different from the others as they lead us to believe.

yup, i hate to say it but i think the ww2 genre should just be left alone..its seriously boring now. IMO the only game that ever did it any justice was Cod2.........although for sure MOH:AA was definitely a very good game in its own right.

Tbh MOH:A looks very clunky, the MP seems to have little replay value........although having not played it its always difficult to tell. Graphics look nice but i wish they would do away with that terribly overdone shine thats present in so many DX9 games.

I might give the demo a go if there is one, but i doubt MOH:A will bring anything new to an already overdone genre.
