Is a pentium dual core with 4gbs ram and an ATI radeon 4350 be good enough for some mild photo editing and a little bit of gaming?

4350 is weak, its more of a htpc card than a gaming card.

Which pentium dual core was you getting?

Anyway yeah it should be fine for a bit of gaming, especially if you overclock it in the future.

The E5200 is an awesome CPU, its just a Core2Duo with a bit less cache. Also those beast overclock to 4.5Ghz with a decent motherboard/air cooling!

Thanks. I've confirmed that its the e5300. I've been debating on which two systems i should get. For $499 I could get a computer with the e5300 4gbs of RAM and 500gb hard drive plus a 20 inch monitor But for $679 I could get a Core 2 Quad with 6gbs of RAM a 640gb hard drive and a 20 in monitor. http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/desktops_great_deals/fs.aspx?refid=desktops_great_deals&s=dhs&cs=19 They are the 2 computers with monitors. The only configuring I plan to do is upgrade the Vid card to the 4350
