This is probably best to ask in the PC hardware forums, but since I have an interest in PC hardware I'll answer your query.

Building a PC really isn't all that complicated. Starting a PC business on the other hand, well, let's just say you can run into all kinds of logistical and legal issues. I once had a dream of having my own business on ebay where I would build my own PCs, but this dream quickly vanished when I realized the responsibilities this would entail. If you want to learn about PC hardware, visit sites like anandtech.com, extremetech.com, xbitlabs.com, etc. There are some helpful guides too which I'm sure the PC hardware forum folks will be happy to link you to. Also, some simple Youtube videos such as this one can be good starting places. I fear you'll need to take a business cl.ass as well though, as something like this shouldn't be taken lightly.

err...mate, if you're gonna build pc for a living, one of the criterias you need to have would be the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.....which means using punctuation when you're typing...

If you can build things out of legos, you can build a computer with the right knowledge. If you really are interested in it, the PC hardware forums is one of the best ways to learn (roughly) how to build a computer, online guides and how-to's are also a good way to learn. Use youtube or google and pull up some results.

Anyone can build a computer ; be you a mathematician or a bus driver, you just need to know what you're doing. When I was 17 I took 3 computer technicians courses from a computing school (They weren't cheap, but hey).

They weren't too hard, except for the last exam. However, you do need to start typing and communicating in a more professional manner if you want to do this as living. Communication = key to success in most things.

PCs aren't difficult to build. Just do a little reading.

If you are looking to get into the IT field in general, Microsoft, Cisco, and others offer various certification courses.

This is a great guide to building your own rig. I used it to build my first PC.

I recommend Tom's Hardware for a bunch of great guides and the latest information on computer equipment. Pay regular visits and have a look at their forums.

I would be wary of tomshardware. I used to visit the site regularly, but some of their reviews are very questionable (it almost appeared as if they were bribed) and their CPU and GPU charts are completely unreliable. I particularly dislike Tom's games, they are frequently misinformed and often bash PC gaming. I find that anandtech.com is a far more professional site that is almost always objective.

If you are looking at this as a career you probably want to check out A+ Certification. It's the industry standard cert for hardware and OS knowledge. There are many course oriented toward getting you ready to pass the certification exam. For example you could check out your local community colleges.

If what you want is to build your own gaming PC, I second the suggestions above. You definitely don't need a cert for that.
