Hi, I'm having what seems to be a "problem" with my DiRT, in RallyCross, Rally Raid and CORR, basically all the modes with more then 1 opponent, lags to hell, so bad that its entirely unplayable, now I've managed to get to Tier 5 by earning just enough points to get to the next level by doing only Rally and Crossover. Now my system specs are:

AMD X2 3800+

2 GiG DDR 400 memory

Gigabyte K8N-Sli Motherboard

Nvidia 7600GT

Running Windows XP pro SP 2

This is all on 640 x 480, lowest possible graphical settings!

Has anybody got any possible solution for me other than upgrading? I haven't got the cash now! Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!

I posted this in the game's forum as well but they told me to post here to get more help!

If you don't have a $600 video card I wouldn't bother with this game period. As a result the community for this game will be really small.

I wouldn't say your PC is slow, the CPU is dual core, you got 2GB of ram, good motherboard.

Whats holding it all back is the 7600GT, its a good card, but Dirt is a extremely graphics hungry game, consider upgrading to a 8800GTS 320MB, or if your really low for cash something like a X1950Pro/7900GS or 8600GT, but the rest of the PC is fine, and imo doesn't need upgrading.

So a 8600GT or GTS should make the game a bit more playable?

The patch seems to make it a little better but still not playable, thanks codemasters, you made me waste money on a game I can't play! :(

overclock the cpu, you have the 2nd to the worst dual core that AMD makes, it is only 2.0ghz, common how can you expect it to run?

I run on high @ 1280x1024 with 2x multisampling and i just have a 4800+ 2gig & 7800gtx. i'm guessing for you its the vid card then.

I get absolutely NO lag ofcourse, even in those races with 10 cars.
