I have always been a fan of PES series due to their better gameplay aspects compared to Fifa series but after playing PES 2009 on PC this year, I have to say I am very dissapointed. I mean yes they added Champions League and some other new things but they are still lacking in graphics detailing area (as its expected from PES I guess). After playing Fifa 2009 on PC I have to say EA stepped up a LOT this year on their new addition despite some minor bugs and some very useless new features (i.e. mouse addition etc). Fifa always had amazing graphics compared to PES 09 and they kept up that reputation in their 09 version as well. The gameplay seems to be improved by a LOT and it actually feels more realistic and competitive compared to PES 09. The passing, shooting, tackling and overall player interaction has improved in FIFA this year by a lot this year. In PES 2009 player interaction is horrible compared to Fifa 2009, and in PES 09 when players falls on the pitch they jump up like it wasn't a big deal or anything as well as overall passing seems too easy in PES 09 compared to FIFA 09. On top of joke of a regualr passing, it also seems like you can execute perfect crosses even if you don't have the aiming or skills to pull it off.
Overall I have to say PES series was great all along as fifa was lacking in decent gameplay in their previous versions but after the 09 addition has released it makes PES 09 look like a cartoon show.PES 2009 vs Fifa 09 (Opinion/User Reviews)
