What is your opinion's of this game from what we have seen so far regarding previews?

It is not far until its release so I thought I would get some sort of topic existing. From what I have seen so far, I really like the idea of it being revolved around something that as far as I know hasn't been tried before in an MMORPG game, pirates. The video's I watched gave a really good insight into the graphics and interface along with abit of ship fighting (which I think is part of the PvP). It has a vast area to explore and is of course based around 18th century Caribbean where you can pick different 'character races' with different paths.

Hopefully it will end up being successful with its innovative and original ideas, but with the likes of many bigger rivals around such as World Of Warcraft and Everquest do you think this is possible?

Anyway, what's your opinion of this promising prospect of 2008.

I think it seems like a really cool game. Unfortunately, it is similiar to another MMO called Auto Assault and that failed miserably despite being a really fun game.

Having played the open beta, I found the game to be enjoyable. The ship combat definitely makes the game. I was originally planning on picking it up on release, but decided to wait a month or two for them to smooth out the bugs. While I think it is pretty obvious that it will not reach WoW-like popularity, I can see it still being moderately successful.

Yes, I did hear about there actually being a Beta but unfortunately I didn't get the chance. Obviously there is going to be a trial game as people are not going to risk the loss of £30+ just to find out that they like World Of Warcraft alot better and don't fancy playing it. Like you said Alaris, it won't be World Of Warcraft status but hopefully it will end up being a successful game.

Is it out in America yet as I thought I read somewhere that it was released and 3,000+ people had already subscribed or something?

I think the monthly fees could negate people to play World Of Warcraft and more proven MMORPGs rather than invest in an unproven game which could actually be pretty bad. I reckon that the only thing in favour of this game is the original idea of a new MMORPG game along with the ship fighting PvP and the vast area to explore. I also think the graphics are good from what I have seen so far but it is if the storyline can follow in suit also. :/
