Planatronics vs Steelseries and Other Headset Goodness

Hey everyone:D!

I'm looking to pick up a gaming headset for a mate's birthday, and have gone down from a shortlist of 13 brands and many more models to either the Planatronics Gamecom 780 or the Steelseries Siberia V2. He listens to a range of music, but especially hardstyle so strong bass is important, and plays a lot of games (Please note this headset's only for use on a laptop, so cross platform functionality is unnecesssary and the ports are limited to USB, headphones and mic.). If anyone has either of these headsets please post what you think and if anyone can directly compare them, or knows a good source for the comparison of headsets, please post!

You need to go to the Audio Video Discussion Board. They are a bunch of audiophiles over there and will direct you to the best sounding headphones possible in your budget.
