oh man this would be awesome. This game came out before I got into RPGs so I never got a chance to play it.
I could see Interplay doing this. Like they did with the recent Fallout Trilogy, optimize it for Vista and XP hoping to make a few bucks.
Will it have updated graphics? When I read the title, I was thinking something like the Escape from Monkey Island revival.F1_2004Yeah thats what I thought. If only... Might be a bit dated even if the story is awesome.

Will americans be able to purchase it ?
GPAddict
No, only Canadians.
Quebec Canadians, to be more precise.
I doubt interplay even has the rights to re-release it... Isn't that why its not even available for purchase at gog?Captain__Tripps
my bet is that they have the rights and that is why they didnt put it on GOG.
Why put a game on there for five bucks when, with a few neat tweaks, you can release it en masse for 15+ dollars in a "new, fancy, XP and Vista/7" compatable package?
I think it was a marketing move.
Even with that move, I definately hope this happens.
If they do rerelease it, they should do some patching first. It's one of the best rpg's ever but at this point in time it's also quite dated and buggy.
It's been on Gametap (optimized for XP/Vista) for quite a while now.Johnny_Rock
I just checked and Gametap has all the Fallouts but it does not have Planescape.
Unofficial planescape fix pack takes care of alot of bugs. And you can play at modern resolutions with a patch, makes it look alot better playing at 1920x1080.

Well, all the fallouts are available via digital means... And I distinctly remember an article about this very issue and the reason was interplays lack of rights to re-release planescape. That doesn't mean said article was true, but it seems likely...All the Descents are also at gog as well... They could no longer re-release the Icewind Dale's either im sure, as Atari has the rights. (and did re-release it at one time)[QUOTE="Johnny_Rock"]It's been on Gametap (optimized for XP/Vista) for quite a while now.westafford

Since I played it on gametap, I would have to disagree. Of course, it's a subscriber only game....[QUOTE="westafford"][QUOTE="Johnny_Rock"]It's been on Gametap (optimized for XP/Vista) for quite a while now.Johnny_Rock
