Rather just wait until the game is in a more finished state. Good for people who don't mind bugs I guess.

Still in development =/= broken.

pretty sure still in development and broken are synonymous for each other... there is going to be a TON of broken shit in an in development game.

I am same way. I have only purchased a two Early Access titles to aid with development. I'd rather not get burned out before the game has all features. Bugs don't mean much to PC MASTER RACE. I think Kerbal and Space Engineers are worth the wait.

Pretty sure you're insanely wrong, you can release a section of the game and have it not be broken. ArmA 3 case in point
/owned
You just don't kno the 1st thing about vidya games lol, not smart disagreeing w/ anyone when u dont know the basics
Also there's nothing broken about the arena commander. It's just like, 3% of the game, but it works well.
Thats great, if its FREE for me to try I will do that. I'm on the fence about how much I will like it. I'm not keen on the main aspect of the game being dog fighting.
Hopefully there does end up being much more to the game
dogfights are a minigame, not the main part. It's an open world with thousands of players in it

If he doesn't play a game he is losing out on playing that game. Jesus. Does basic logic escape you, or what?
@FelipeInside: So far there is just Hanger with ship in it, you an change your ship loadout using the workbench if you have anything to change. From the hangar you can access Arena Commander which is 2 maps where you can PVP or PVE solo against bots. The next patch will add new physics that change the flight model, PBR (i think), racing and COOP PVE. I think the free trial lets you use the Aurora.
Can see it being good when fully out but lets hope it has a decent single player as well.

Thats good, I'm really looking forward to it. The Squadron 42 looks impressive too.

all of this... is like... completely off topic horse shit.
wow.
see KH... what you have just provided is a logical fallacy. what you say seems to be correct... until you realize that you arent including all information. "a section of a game" can indeed not be broken, but that does not represent the overall product, which if in development, is surely broken.
perhaps using your head for 2 seconds will avoid you looking like a dumbass again in the future. based on what i have seen from you though, i think you literally cant tell the difference between what you are saying and what is actually true.

no, he isnt, because if he doesnt want to play it... it holds no value to him. if something is of no value, it is worth nothing, and therefore not a loss.
"jesus. does basic logic escape you, or what?" i mean come on airshocker.... use that atrophied brain for just a short second.

It doesn't matter if he doesn't want to play it. It doesn't matter if it holds no value to him. You are still losing out on the experience.
pretty sure still in development and broken are synonymous for each other... there is going to be a TON of broken shit in an in development game.
Would you extend that statement to Elite: Dangerous then? After all, that game is still in development, and going by what you say, there would be a ton of broken shit in that game.
No one is going to lose out by not playing that game either, if they are not interested in still-broken games.

your passive aggressive bullshit is hilarious gelugon. you try so hard, but nobody is going to take you seriously.
@cyloninside: You try very hard to diss on games which you don't like, and nobody takes you seriously. Have you ever noticed that very few, if any, other people agree with you when you do this kind of thing? Even if they do happen to have the same stance, have you noticed that they don't address you directly and give you credit in any way?
Also, Elite: Dangerous has plenty of bugs at this time. I doubt that all of the money going to that game would be spent on "over-delivering" on promises.

more passive aggressive bullshit from the king.
you act like you are so superior.... yet the vast majority of your posts are just flame bait. not buying it gelugon. not buying anything you are selling.

He is not superior, it's just that your childish attitude makes you look inferior.
For example: you say you are "not buying it" yet you answer him.

Bingo.
Anyways not going to download it...it's cool they are doing this but think I will wait until it fully releases.

Yet you reply anyway.
I get the impression that you have the compulsion to be defiant.
Also, here, look at this: there's a rather big list of bugs for Elite: Dangerous, quite a lot of which haven't been addressed since May 2014 and since the game went into "Premium Beta". That's quite a lot of broken shit in a still-in-development game that is already asking for money, isn't it?

I didn't back either game and am not even downloading the freebie for Star Citizen...but no...it isn't. People backed these games because they wanted to see these developers visions come to fruition. Without the backers, we probably wouldn't have these games in development period, or at least not how the devs wanted (publisher pressure) and/or the level of production quality that they are getting. In addition, for their support the folks who supported them get to play early versions of the game as way to get a glimpse of the games and to provide feedback in order to help shape it's development.
People are free of course to not back the games but it's fairly obvious that there's a ton of people who see tremendous value in this. Bugs and all, which are to be expected.

What? Broken implies doesn't work. Releasing a section of a game that works =/= broken. I know I'm blowing your mind, but once it recollects, it will form a bigger brain - one that understands a thing or two.
Research the game "ArmA 3" and the world will start making sense again
@Renevent42: Do tell that to cyloninside instead. He's the one having trouble acknowledging why people would support a game which he has a poor opinion of, Star Citizen in this case. (Yet he has no compunction in trumpeting for Elite: Dangerous - often at the expensive of Star Citizen.)
Downloaded it but ended up going out last night. I logged on today for the first time. Put on my helmet. Got in my ship. Laid down in the back of the ship for a second. Sat in the cockpit for a second. Then I walked out and put my helmet back. Unfortunately, I have to work so I won't REALLY get to play it yet, but thanks for sharing. Great post.
Oh, and one last thing. Do you like cockpits? You do? You're a gay fish.
