playing XP games on Vista

Hey guys. Sorry if this is obvious or old or something although i have just been added to the pc gaming society :D.

Anyway, if i buy an old game that is aimed at XP such as Rollercoaster tycoon 3, will i still be able to play it on Vista?

It will probably work on 32 bit Vista, not sure about 64 bit, i heard that 64bit isnt that great when it comes to supporting old gamescrazycolt1234

32 bit works on Every game I have thrown at it with the exception of OpenGL only games, (only one I can think of is KOTOR)

This includes StarCraft, C&C Red Alert (original), and Populous : The beginning. All of which are ridiculously old for PC games. I cannot vouch for 64 bit though.
