so it will? thank you for answeing my question i have been waitnig 2 whole weeks for an answer and you finally gave it to me. thank you once againultragamer101
No problem.
Just make sure that on the inside theres room to, because for the dell power supplys they could be using a special power supply bracket to hold it into place, but if its just the screws holding it in then there should be no problems at all. If there is brackets or somthing like that, then see if you can crow those out or somthing. But other then that it should go in fine.:)
well now that i have a answer im buying that power supply with a 8800GT OC.
so do you think i can max out left for dead and maybe cod4?
ye pretty much! not crysis (but not many do) but yeah those games will be great with that setup if you ever want to know what fits in your case your best chance is to go to the manufacturers website and find some size dimensions cant wait for L4D :Pwell now that i have a answer im buying that power supply with a 8800GT OC.

heyho, i hate to hijack thread but if i upgraded my system to this:
amd 6000 from 3800
8600gt to 8800gt
and 2gb ram, xp
how would i run newer games and could i max out nearly everything at 1280 by 1024? apart from crysis.
and could my ocz 500psu handle it?
it only has 18a

At that resolution, Ya you should be able to max pretty much evey game out(besides Crysis obviously). And a 500W PSU should be fine.
I to plan to up grade from my 8600 GTS to a 8800 GT, but i am keeping it with my Core 2 Duo E4400@2Ghz for a while.

I don't know the system specs of those games. But GTA 4 should run know problem. Mafia 2 could also but still not sure(there is no game play out) DOW2 should be able to play very well on a system like that, More likely you can play those games well.:)
so i have to take out the old power supply and put in the new one?ultragamer101
Well ya, if you want to upgrade power supplys. Like if you upgrade your video card, you need to take the old one out to put the new one in.
You need to screw the Power supply to the back of the case, the PSU should come with screws.
I'd like to add that I purchased an 8800GT only to find that it didn't fit into my Dell Dimension 5150. Heartache and pain! Make sure you get the sizes straight, it was actually the GPU cooling being blocked by the CPU heatsink that prevented the fit.
Just a heads-up.
