Hi , guys well my 4870 is gone i gave it to my brother hes a young kid with no money that was my present to him. I need your help guys im gonna uprade my CPU and get new GPU's im looking at two 4890's since my motherboard is pretty good still im wondering if my PC power and cooling 750W its the crossfire edition will be enough for two of them cards ? Also ive been out of the loop for some time on PC parts for my mobo what kind of processor will be a good upgrade ? I want a Quad core CPU for maybe around $350 ? Thanks for any help guys. Oh my specs are in my Sig.

750W should be plenty for dual HD 4890. I'm running Dual HD 4870s on 750W and still have plenty of power to spare. HD 4890s don't consume more than 10W more than HD 4870s IIRC. If you want a good Intel Quad, try this, it's a good overclocker, and this is the "S" version mind you, which means it's TDP is 65W as opposed to 95W. It's a higher binned part and should be able to run on less voltage. The Q9550 non S version is much cheaper if you're not worried about heat though.

Hmm wait 2 months for 5870 to come out,

Or get the 4890 from newegg, they are around 180 bucks.

a 750w should be enough i suposse

750W should be plenty for dual HD 4890. I'm running Dual HD 4870s on 750W and still have plenty of power to spare. HD 4890s don't consume more than 10W more than HD 4870s IIRC. You might be able to get a higher overclock on the "S" version, but from what I hear, the Q9550 OCs very well regardless. I would just go for the regular version. I noticed you already have an E8400 at 4.2GHz, that's really fast, why are you looking for an upgrade, lol? :)

I see, well the Q9550 should be great for you then. Anything higher up and it's an Extreme Edition, which is upwards of $1000, so it's more of a luxury than anything.
