You cant put an AGP into a PCI-e slot obviously so the only two choices would be, as the fellow before stated, post you system information so people can recommend a good PCI-e graphics card, or buy a motherboard with an AGP slot. I wouldnt recommend this as PCI is generally better, but there are motherboards out there which still have AGP slots.

Buying a motherboard with an AGP slot would be like going backward

If you PC is so old that it only has PCI, then you shouldn't waste money on upgrading it. Buy a cheap new one (any one will be better than your OLD, old rig. Heck, it probably has a Pentium II or PIII CPU!

Now, if your machine has PCI-e (and not only plain PCI), buy a PCI-e card. Those are faster than AGP.

Could'nt agree more. Going backwards is wasting a lot of money. Just upgrade and be done with it.

I didnt recommend getting an AGP motherboard, i just stated that if abrarkwl is on a tight budget then its a fair temporary fix :)

Ha yeah you need a PCI Express Video card not AGP. AGP was the previous graphics interface before PCI Express.
