Hello , My system is Q6600 ( 3Ghz ) , 4Gb ram (633hz) with GTX 285 at the moment . ( my motherboard is support SLi and PSU silverstone 750W )

My friend is selling an GTX 285 card for cheap price for me and i am thinking to buy off from him .therefor if i buy the card and run GTX 285 SLi on my system. i am sure it will be bottleneck with cpu but does it still increase the performance from single GTX 285 to SLi or it might case my system slower because it cannot keep up with both cards ? and moreover my PSU is support sli but only 750W , would it be enough for both GTX 285 cards?

i am not too sure what to do as the card is so cheap and tempting. but i dont have money upgrade psu or cpu .

Please give me an advice , or what you guys think ?

Thank you so much.

Providing you dont use a small monitor and he is selling it for a good price then go for it. The Q6600 @ 3Ghz is still more than capable for ANY game out there.

If you can get it cheap then go for it! The Q6600 is a cracker of a chip and it wont bottleneck you.

yes i think so .he wants only 75 pounds for it if i want. which its really cheap

my monitor 24" 1920X1200 so i like to play at that resolution. ,

i just heard before that put 2nd card it and cpu cannot keep up and it will slower than only one card but i think it should be improve but just as not as full power it should be .

so will my PSU 750W will be enough for GTX285 SLi ?

Thank you a lot for comments !

Lol yes i know , he went to ask in th 2nd hand shop CEX ( www.cex.co.uk ) and they give him only £91 for cash so he says he rather sell a bit cheaper for me if i want . Thank you . i think i'll get it ( thats all my money saving this month ) mmmmm

if it doesnt work out with my system then i could get that £75 back on ebay anyway lol. but i hope it does make my gaming quicker.

At that resolution thats well worth it, you will get a nice performance boost from it. Personally if I was you I would just buy that video card and sell both of then on ebay and buy a decent DX11 card like the 5850 or GTX460.
