what is better for gaming..

a 42" LCD or a 42" - 50" plasma

I want it to last a long time and i will be playing around 6feet away from the screen.. any thoughts?

42" LCD is better with plasma you will lose quality over range and light so id go for it i have a sony 42" lcd hd tv and it is definatly better then my brothers plasma by a long shot hope that is enought for you to make mind up i play ps3 on mine from about the same distance and i dont get no glare or nothing !

it depends on the brand you get.......if you get a sony or a samsung lcd, then you will be happy with your choice....

but if you dont want to spend as much then you can go for a panasonic plasma....they are very great...

what you should also consider is the downside of plasmas....burn in can happen, it has yet to happen to me but hey...

so basically if you have the money go for a nice lcd because they have advanced in quality greatly and the picture quality is the best...
