Not even on low settings? I thought the game wasn't really demanding. I used to play it a lot on a Athlon 2600 with a crap GPU and it worked pretty well.
Poorly Optimized. My definition of running well is at least 30fp/s, on decent settings.www.quakelive.com runs on anything except good machines(that isn't really a joke, high end systems tend to have problems with QL) CS 1.6 obvJigglyWiggly_i was beginning to wonder why someone hadnt mentioned Quake. although at this point TC you better have an assload of time to invest to actually get good in Quake and the Counter Strike games...
Yes i remember the first time i played quake live(my first quake game btw), back when everyone played ctf and I was good initially just from the start.
Then I was scared to try clan arena thinking all dese pros wud pwn me, and well I did alright, pretty good, become tier 4(highest tier) in like a week but sometimes fell to tier3.(gross)
Then left it forever.
Then got 120hz monitor and started to play game fo reals.
Still wasn't nearly as good as I am now.
Then realized I hadn't been strafe jumping at all, I didn't even know wtf it was until quite a bit later.
Played some duel and realized I am doin it at rong
I realized my sensitivity was wayyyy too high.
Now I am a low sens gamer
Realized I need to make my own config for low graphix and sensitivities for me
now i am like super leet and pwn
Took like about 20 hrs of game time to get good.
It took like 3 days of game time to get like pro.
However it will go a LOT faster if you play duel and not CA. CA creates bad habits.
