I just bought a new gaming desktop, it's great. When it comes to DirectX 11 (got a 5770, DirectX 11 compatible) and the latest software downloads, upkeep, etc., is there anything I should additionally seek out to download? In other words, outside of the regular software updates that normally are prompted for me to download, is there any sort of gaming specific downloads or websites I should frequent to make sure my pc for gaming purposes runs top notch? Will this DirectX 11 stuff just activate itself with whatever game I buy that supports it? How do I take advantage of mods for different games? I realize these questions are probably very simple, but I'm having a hard time getting direct answers on my own.

Also, have Crysis GOTY collection and SC2 downloaded, any suggestions for my next round of purposes? I'm simply overwhelmed by the number of quality titles, and I love all genres. Thanks!

Visit ATI/AMD's website frequently and keep your video drivers up to date. Windows update should take care of everything else.

There are so many good games on the PC I wouldn't even know where to begin telling you what to buy.
