I want to plug my PS3 onto my PC monitor, what kind of cable do I need? Would the same cable work if I want to plug my PC into my HDTV?

What kind of connectors does your PC monitor have? If it has an HDMI, you're all set to go. If it has DVI, you'll need an HDMI-to-DVI converter. If it has VGA only, you're ****** lol. Also sound will be an issue. If your monitor has built in speakers with HDMI cable, then you won't have anything to worry about anything. If on DVI but the monitor does have speakers (with a 3.5 mm jack connector), you can get a standard resolution PS3 cable, get a converter to convert the white and red RCA cables into a 3.5 mm jack to plug into the monitor and set the PS3 to output sound through the RCAs. If no monitor speakers, then you'll need a separate sound system or headphones of course.

You just need some kind of a VGA box to fiddle with the PS3 output to your PC monitor....It makes sense when you find what you're looking for so google up "PS3 VGA box" and you're on your way to victory.

I use one of these little wonders:

Strips out the HDCP so you can hook an HDMI source up to anything you want.
