Desktop is better,
If your tight on monely look at an AMD CPU/motherboard.
CPU - AMD 955 (need to buy this quick as they are stopping production) or look into a FX4100 and AM3+ motherboard.
RAM - You need 4GB
GPU - Nvidia GTX460 or AMD6850 (if you can go higher, do so)
PSU - 550watt from Corsair, Antec, Thermaltech, Coolermaster
Case - What can you get?
hmm , im not sure those item have sell in the shop =X but do NV Geforce 6150SE have shader pixel 3.0 and enough to ply with no lags? ( like games Prototype )Desktop is better,

hmmm ..guys will tis work good? Laptop : -Intel Core i5-2430m -NV Geforce GT 520M -4GB DDR3 memory -500GB ................Speakless.................BlaDar3
That is better but look go for at least a gt540m as the laptop gpu if you want to seriously game on a laptop as your main source of pc gaming this Acer is great for the price it is a good multi purpose laptop that can play games without scarificing battery life and still remianing pretty portable.[QUOTE="BlaDar3"]hmmm ..guys will tis work good? If you want to get stronger you need to spend quite a bit more $1000+ and will lose battery life and portability. If you don't really need a laptop to take with you going with a desktop would be the better option for gaming.
I checked tat type of laptop ..but http://www.blog.web6.org/acer-aspire-timelinex-as4830tg-6450-review-14-inch-aluminum-laptop-cobalt-blue/ got ppl said tat its has bad lagging for gaming..[QUOTE="DJ_Headshot"]That is better but look go for at least a gt540m as the laptop gpu if you want to seriously game on a laptop as your main source of pc gaming this Acer is great for the price it is a good multi purpose laptop that can play games without scarificing battery life and still remianing pretty portable.[QUOTE="BlaDar3"]hmmm ..guys will tis work good? The laptop has a integrated much slower gpu it uses when not playing games to conserve battery life. If people where complaining about lag it was probably not switching to the gt 540m and scratch the $1000 for a better laptop here's one for $800 with a gt 555m which is what I would really recommend not a game it can't handle obviously not going to do high settings or max setting for the really demanding games being only a single laptop gpu. but all the game you listed will run very well at high settings at the laptops native resoltionand again a properly built desktop for the same amount of money would give you alot more performance for your money.http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-08622MU-15-6-Inch-Laptop-Black/dp/B00519CDDC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321176751&sr=8-1http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-555M.41933.0.html

That is completely horrible card for gaming it was **** back when it was released and its even more useless now starcraft 2 lags at the lowest settings and quake live i have to run at the lowest settings to not lag.
hmm...if its in a set, i think ill search for $450-600 ..=XBlaDar3
That's a pretty limited budget, but I'll try this out. You'd have to put the parts together, but luckily, putting a computer together is super easy.
Now, this build is assuming you don't need a monitor. I'd also like to assume you wouldn't need an OS, but you probably don't have an extra laying around.
CASE: Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower = $49.99 (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=29812&vpn=THREE%20HUNDRED&manufacture=Antec&promoid=1282)

Mouse: Logitech M100 Mouse = $13.99 (http://ncix.com/products/?sku=52894&vpn=910%2D001648&manufacture=Logitech)
= $587.99 after GPU rebate, forgot about rebates while selecting parts, could very well wind up a fair bit cheaper.
Was going to continue linking but it's too early in the morning for that. Did you a build. You can get the parts from 2 websites. You can probably find them all at one website, potentially, especially if you're American (All my prices are in Canadian dollars, from canadian websites). I'm pretty sure all the parts would fit together, but I can't find my ruler, so I kind of just eyeballed it. The power supply cables should reach, and the card should have enough room.
This $600 build will be able to play pretty much any game out there at solid settings. It just sucks that Windows is such a vampire on the built cost.
where are you gonna buy the pc/parts? Give us a link to the shop/s you are gonna get the parts so we can choose something decent with a reasonable price As for the pc's you posted no one is suited for gaming
Is tis good? or not good , but can it still ply games with no lags? =X ~ Intel Core i5-2430M ~ Nv Geforce GT 520M ~ 4GB DDR3 or ~ Nv Geforce GT 540M 2GB VRAM better?BlaDar3
or better yet, build a computer with a superior CPU an GPU and have left-over money for a laptop. You sure as hell aren't going to be playing Crysis at the train-station with a laptop & mouse.
srry...im not good in pc =XBlaDar3
I'm not sure what parts are available for you in Malaysia.
For the CPU an ph2 x4 955 (or if you have the money an i5 2500k)
For the GPU an 6850 or (gtx 560 or 6870 if you have the money)
Are there any sites we can look at for options?
If you want a laptop and want to play games decently then you shouldnt aim for anything under a gt540m. everything else doesnt really matter since you wont be running games on max settings so you dont really need a quad core cpu. Ram 4gb is plenty. not even going to mention anything else.
well my friend has a acer laptop with a core i3 and a gt540 and he can game pretty decently of course if he cranks up the settings then it heats up pretty fast, you shuold also consider using some kind of cooler underneath it since you can feell the heat through the keyboard as well.
for now, laptop tat with good equip are cheap... for desktop if good item then expensive alot.... GT 520 highest is 1GB , and GT 540 highest is 2GB... for GT 540 2GB 's price , its got a little bit high =( do GT 520/540 can use in desktop?BlaDar3
No, but you need to decide if your getting a laptop or desktop, theres no point in asking us laptop questions if you want a desktop, and vice versa.
Most desktops are more expensive, if you need monitor and OS as well, but then again, desktops are better in gaming.
ooh kay =) do 'ATI Mobility Radeon HD6370 1 GB ' tis graphic good? and 1GB/2GB VRAM , its mean graphic ram? do 512mb graphic(desktop) enough to ply game with no lags?BlaDar3
No, the 6370 isn't good, also don't look at VRAM, your making the obvious mistake. You could have a GT520 or a 6370 with 4GB VRAM, and I could just have a 6570 or GT540 with 1GB VRAM and my card would still beat the other card.
So is it a laptop or desktop you want?
You will seriously regret buying a laptop. I did. I would rather not paly games when i'm on the move, instead when I go home have a great experieince playing on a monster machine that I built/
laptop for now.... coz i need to bring it alone with me... its got go till 4GB VRAM ?? O_o but my country pc shop just sell the highest 2GB VRAM ( but im not sure ) =P so , the best is GT 540 !GB VRAM?BlaDar3
Ok laptop, it must have a GT540, DONT LOOK AT VRAM (its useless), just make sure it has a GT540, if there are a few laptops with a GT540, post all the specs of each laptop here.
ill buy it this yr , coz i cant ply if its a desktop , im going to college for the coming 2-4 yrs , so i think imma get a laptop , it can bring to college and ply it there =XYou will seriously regret buying a laptop. Ok thats a good 1, any others with a GT540 or even a 6570 or better? Only look at graphics card for the time being, the rest should fit in.
