I'm getting it for sure, just waiting for a sale. Â Part of me wants to pre-order since it looks awesome and I did love 2033. Â But think i'll just wait. Â Not to mention my backlog is ridiculously huge.
I'm super-excited about the game releasing but I'm going to hold off for the first sale. I can't be bothered buying games day one and barely touching it for a few hours. That's gotta stop. :-P If I can find a retail copy for like $35 on eBay or Amazon, I'll definitely snatch it up.

While the company deserves kudos for their technological achievements and for providing a decent shooter - the last game was just alright and suffered from terrible optimization. I will either wait to see if the game runs well or wait to see if its even worth the game time. It also doesnt help that they are pushing the pixels hard this time. Graphics look ridiculous so Id need upgrades before thinking about the game. I dont know if a GTX 570 would cut it.

I am waiting for it to go on sale on Steam for $5. My backlog is way too big to be bothered with buying new games at full price when they release when it may be a good year or more before I get around to playing them.

If you preorder it you get it, most retail copies stay as "limited edition" ages after and drop in price. When the actual game drops in price the inevitable dlc on steam will drop too so..
Wasn't a big fan of 2033. It was a game that could have been my kind of game, but the gunplay was dissapointing and the AI pissed me off. I'll wait for a sale.
who cares? it's a sp game, difficulty in sp games is irrelevant ...... ? for a shooter in sp? It just boils down to memorization and slow gameplay, not mousing
Most definitely going to wait until it goes on sale, played through the first game and thought it was ok but never really felt like I needed to see a sequel. I am sure it will be a decent game but I would like to see some reviews first mostly because I want to know if they optimized it or not cause that was my big gripe from the first game.

No, I thought the first Metro was mediocre and I don't like the business practices surrounding Last Light (holding hard mode hostage as a preorder bonus/paid DLC).
I started playing a Metro 2033 second playthrough in anticipation of this; halfway through already because I can't put it down. Tuesday can't get here fast enough!
Ya exactly i don't care about the difficulty. I play sp games for the atmosphere gererally.

Ranger mode really helps with the immersion, at least in the original. No HUD was the biggest thing, but less ammo and more difficult enemies will force the player to be more cautious and look everywhere for additional supplies.
