Hey guys, are you planning on getting Black Ops 2 for the PC. Opinions are welcome!

Everything so far looks like a large improvment, a single-player campaign where you can have multiple choices and diffrent endings, parts of the game where you take controll of large squads and play the game like an RTS and the zombie mode is now a large sandbox where 8 people can play together. Still, all of that sounds good however i will wait 1, maybe 2 weeks to see how the PC version is optimized, Black Ops 1 was an allright COD game however it was poorly optimized, people even to this day are having frame rate issues with that game.
I did buy Black Ops and MW3. I liked more the mp in BO due the dedicated servers, the better map design and the presence of the G11 -which was one of my favourite ARs despite not entirelly correct in his implementation-. At the end I finally spent about 130 hours in the BO mp and a bit under 100 hours in MW3.
I maxed the first leveling race in both games, but after unlocking all the perks in BO didn't want to lost all in the prestige reset, so I ended with not much reasons to keep playing after the first two months -and only did a few levels in the campaign-. Buying MW3 wasn't in my plans, but due technical problems with Battlelog and my default browser I wasn't able to properly play at Battlefield 3 until January, so I did end buying MW3 and Skyrim just a few days after BF3. MW3 campaign was decent but short, and the mp based on p2p didn't trick on me too much.
Due I'm still playing BF3 -just went to level 45 a couple of weeks ago- and recently I bought the premium accesss I had no reason to buy Black Ops II nor MoH Warfighter: most of time I spent in shooters is used in the mp, and I still have a lot of things to learn and master in the extra maps of BF3 -despite I play miostrly in TDM - infantry only servers.
So no, I'm not interested in BO this time: my fps share is currently filled and still have a lot of unfinished games that I bought waiting for my time (TW2, Deux Ex HR... ). Doesn't help also that in matter of sp campaigns both Dishonored, Halo 4 and Far Cry 3 seems more appelaing than BO II to me (probably will end buying Halo 4 and Far Cry 3).
Maybe but I seriously doubt it? It's not that I didn't like Black Ops, it's just I bought it on PS3 and that ruined it for me really... other than SP.
I cannot play FPS' especially CoD with a controller after playing them for literally YEARs on mouse and keyboard. Just doesn't work any other way for me.
Will rent on ps3. I haven't bought a CoD game since CoD 4, who knows, this one might actually be good.
I got the preorder cause I love cod, but I am quite skeptical based on the amount of hacks in MW3. I wouldn't really advise others to preorder before the reviews, unless they don't mind potentially burning $60. A console preorder is a safer bet but I can't spend FPS with a gamepad.
Nah, I've got Blacklight Retribution and CS 1.6 so I think I'm pretty much good to go should the need arise to do any competitive shooting.
I'm undecided. I feel that they are just putting a fresh coat of paint on the old formula, but Black Ops 1 was solid apart from the technical problems.
I'm going to wait for a little bit after launch to see what the reaction is.

Blacklight is terrible compared to COD.

You'd be an idiot buying it and NOT thinking this.
Really thinking about it i played the crap out of Black ops, but barely touched modern warefare 3. I really need to see more and see how the multiplayer maps are before i decide.
Black Ops had a lot of issues on PC, so I plan to avoid this one. I preordered MoH Warfighter instead, since I had a lot of fun with the previous MoH's multiplayer.
[QUOTE="Liquid_"]What's new with zombies? Just the 8 player co-op? Any storyline? I don't care. It has zombies and in game wallhacks. take my money activision/treyarch/iwIt has zombies, so yes.

I pre ordered both although MOHW I'm only getting on PC, BO2 on PC + X360 for rl friends, if you thought BF3 looked terrible on consoles(think view distance: off?) MOHW takes it to the next level, possibly the most blurry experience I've had on consoles(480p native?) while I didn't even need to change the brightness for the PC version alpha. I would hope that people purchasing BO2 are expecting to get their money's worth from the SP + 8 man COOP as it's probably best to assume the worst of the MP, especially with the new spawn system COD games seem to be adopting: http://i.imgur.com/25Qhp.pngBlack Ops had a lot of issues on PC, so I plan to avoid this one. I own every Call of Duty title save for some of the offshoots and Call of Duty 2, plus this time around Black Ops 2 actually looks like a game that's trying to break from the mold. Changing time periods, much more freedom and length in the story, a heavy focus on improving zombies, and wildly changing up the way multiplayer works.
Treyarch has been good to PC gamers, hopefully they don't change that here since I'm getting the PC version this time around. I'm pre ordering the Deluxe Digital edition actually so I can enjoy some of the extra stuff, while World at War on PC is a nice little bonus.
I've seen some gameplay, looks exactly the same as every other CoD game since MW, only with see-through sniper rifles. I'll pass.
Is it going to have a 5 1/2 hour, corridor-linear, spawn-everywhere enemy shooting range campaign too? If yes then I pass. I got too bored to finish Black Ops and I haven't bought MW3 nor do I see myself ever wanting to.madrocketeer
According to the developers and from what we've seen from gameplay, the single player has much more depth to it. Open ended missions, some missions you have to make a choice to take or not take, splitting points in story and gameplay, plus the ability to choose your loadout for single player and partake in weapon challenges was confirmed on Gametrailers today.
So its looking wildly different from the norm, though its still CoD, a game where you shoot dudes with guns in the military.
