Poll: Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142?

while bf2142 has a few improvements, there's not much difference between the two, it's not really a case of better, it's a case of preference

if modern day stuff is your thing, you'd prefer bf2 - but if you get off on near future stuff, you'd prefer bf2142

besides that, there's not much difference - the gameplay structure is pretty much the same and the visuals are of the same quality, bf2142 does have a few tweaks and improvements here and there, but it's the standard EA bastardised sequel stuff everyone should be used to by now, so it's more like a highly professional mod than a true sequel

so just go with the setting you prefer - myself, i'm hardly a battlefield fan anyway, but i far prefer battlefield 2

.................................both - but depend on what style you like.....modern combat.....pick BF2, futuristic combat......BF2142

choose - and don't depend on others gamers - try the demos, looks screenshots and gameplay trailers

2142, I like the viechles more, and hated Assualt planes on BF2.

That and Titan combat brings more Troop vs Troop combat , and the maps seem smaller so alot less pointless traveling. 

I won't vote, cos I dont really know which is better.

I love BF2, but lately I've been playing a lot of BF2142, so I like that very much too.

If you like futuristic more, get 2142.

If you like modern more get 2.

BF2 is my favorite PC game ever. I absolutely love modern warfare themes and found 2142 to be a hard egg to swallow.

I lost all and any respect for EA by abandoning such a great game that has a much larger following than 2142. If you check out the servers, BF2 is still much more populated by far.

Thats true, BF2 has around 1000 servers while 2142 has like 300.  

If you ask me, they're both very similar, but I prefer 2142. Its more balanced, has more unlocks, and I like the better customization and fewer kits.

But BF2 does have more vehicles, and factions.
